Tyronn Lue Fines J.R. Smith $100 for Jumping on Pump Fake

David McCrackenMay 7, 2017

Tyronn Lue has zero chill.

The Cleveland Cavaliers head coach challenged his players to defend Toronto Raptors All-Star guards Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan without jumping on pump fakes. To deter them from doing so, he threatened to fine them $100 if they did bite.

J.R. Smith learned his coach wasn't joking Sunday during Game 4, as he jumped at one point while defending DeRozan. That $100 fine didn't stop Cleveland from cruising to a 4-0 series sweep against the Raptors, however, as the Cavs won Sunday, 109-102.
