Kubiak Comments on Siemian's Recovery

Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak told reporters that Siemian is day-to-day but out of his walking boot, per Jhabvala. Kubiak added the team will assess the quarterback early in the week.

Siemian Off to Promising Start with Broncos

Siemian suffered an AC joint sprain in his left (non-throwing) shoulder in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the injury sidelined him for only one game.

Ten games into his first season as the Broncos starter, Siemian has acquitted himself nicely to the tune of 2,396 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 60 percent of his passes.

"I like Trevor," Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall said, per Legwold. "I liked him last year; I was telling people that I think he can be good. His accuracy is really good. He's poised. I think he's really calm. I think he's confident."

Based on the way Siemian has handled the expectations that accompanied starting under center for the defending Super Bowl champions, losing him for an extended stretch could have made the Broncos offense primed for a bit of a regression.

Lynch has the tools to be a strong stopgap solution for Denver should Siemian be forced back to the sidelines, but his lack of regular-season experience would continue to force the Broncos to simplify things in regard to the scheme.
