Forte Has Been Dinged Up in Debut Season with Jets
Forte suffered a hamstring injury before training camp, and the ailment forced him to miss a couple of weeks as the Jets prepared for the start of the 2016 season.
He then nursed minor knee and rib injuries in advance of the Jets' Week 5 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they didn't prevent him from suiting up.
In his first season with Gang Green, Forte has amassed 214 carries for 792 yards and seven touchdowns as the Jets' lead dog. He has also tallied 29 catches for 256 yards and one score in an offense that has struggled to hit its stride with uncertainty at quarterback.
