Donald Trump Says He 'Thinks' Rex Ryan Won 2 Championships with Jets at Rally

Rex Ryan might be "just" a football coach, but he was a two-time championship-winning football coach with the New York Jets.

The Buffalo Bills head coach introduced the presidential hopeful at a rally in Buffalo on Monday, telling quite the story about a time Trump asserted his authority over the coaching staff of the New Jersey Generals, a United States Football League team he once owned.

Then it was Trump's turn for a story, which turned out to be more of a fable. Trump informed the crowd that Ryan led the Jets to a pair of AFC Championship titles—which is simply not true.

Ryan did take the Jets to back-to-back AFC Championship Games in 2009 and 2010 as a wild-card team, but alas, there were no victories.
