Tony Stewart has been preparing for his final NASCAR season in 2016, but the controversial star may have created problems for himself by getting into an altercation with a fan at Friday's Chili Bowl Nationals.

Barstool Sports tweeted out a video of the incident (WARNING: SOME LANGUAGE NSFW):

According to Timothy Burke of Deadspin, citing witnesses to the event on Twitter, the heckler was flipping Stewart off.

Here's a fan photograph of the incident, per Kyle Bonsignore:

Stewart is notorious for having a short temper on and off the track. Daniel McFadin of Sporting News provided a list of more than 10 incidents in which Stewart was involved in some type of altercation with a fellow driver.

This incident, however, is something different because Stewart went after a fan. The fan may have been out of line for what he was doing and saying, but the athlete has to show restraint in a situation like this.
