Latest on Goldman's Practice Status

Friday, Nov. 11

The Bears announced Goldman was limited in practice on Friday for the third straight day.

Goldman Has Been Steady Presence in Bears Defense

Although nose tackles don't rack up much acclaim in the form of statistical dominance, Goldman held his own as an anchor along Chicago's defensive line during his rookie season.

In 15 games—including 12 starts—the 2015 second-round pick accumulated 22 total tackles and a solid 4.5 sacks before he was placed on season-ending injured reserve in December with an ankle injury.

"We watched the film not too long ago, and he's just dominant out there," Bears linebacker Sam Acho said, according to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune. "And there are plays where he could be better, but that's just a testament to...how good he can be. Eddie's a beast. He already is really good. He's going to be even better."

Through two weeks in 2016, Goldman racked up seven total tackles and half a sack.
