NHL Draft 2015 Order: Day 2 Selection List, TV Schedule and Day 1 Results

Steve SilvermanJun 27, 2015

The excitement in Day 1 of the NHL draft came right at the start.

Not so much for the drama of figuring out who would be selected, but because of the quality at the top.

Connor McDavid was picked by the Edmonton Oilers with the No. 1 pick, while Jack Eichel was selected by the Buffalo Sabres with the No. 2 pick.

Both of those young stars have generational talent and appear to have the ability to help turn things around for both struggling franchises.

In addition to those two young, talented players, the Boston Bruins made news, as they ended up with Nos. 13, 14 and 15 picks in the first round after trading power forward Milan Lucic (to the Los Angeles Kings) and the defenseman Dougie Hamilton (to the Calgary Flames).
