Cameroon 2014 FIFA World Cup Squad: Player-by-Player Guide

Cameroon became the penultimate African team to name their provisional World Cup squad when manager Volker Finke released his list on Monday afternoon. The German boss chose 28 players and two stand-bys.

There was little in the way of headlines, as the Indomitable Lions will largely be represented by the players who earned qualification after their showings over the last 18 months.

That means no recall for Norwich City defender Sebastien Bassong, who has been out of favour under the coach, while Barcelona youngsters Jean-Marie Dongou and Frank Bagnack have been omitted from the provisional squad, despite having featured in Finke’s selections recently.

Bagnack has, however, been named as one of two stand-bys, alongside Cosmos de Bafia player Zock Bep.
