Washington Redskins Draft a Lying Linebacker in Cody Glenn
If you thought the Washington Redskins did due diligence on their players, consider the tale of Cody Glenn. Glenn, a former Nebraska Cornhusker who has only played one year at the linebacker position, recently admitted to lying to reporters about why he was suspended for three games last season.
Washington Redskins draft pick Cody Glenn admitted he lied when he told reporters that his suspension at Nebraska last season was for selling football tickets.
Glenn told The Associated Press on Tuesday he made up the story about selling his tickets, which would have been a violation of NCAA rules. The fifth-round pick said he wanted to satisfy reporters and get them to quit asking him about the suspension.

So the Skins have a guy thatโs basically going to have to be taught how to play linebacker, which requires some measure of intelligence, stupidly lying to reporters. Reporters who, by trade, dig for facts and rabidly seek confirmation on stories.
Hail indeed.
