The San Jose Sharks did an overall great job last night. They were battling hard for pucks and really seemed motivated to take it to the Ducks. I was impressed overall by the play of the team. I’m glad too see that Patty had a goal and a lot of good shifts. His play needs to keep getting stronger, and I think it will as the series moves on.

The defense showed up big last night. I was really happy to see the way they responded. Rob Blake was a shooting machine and played really solid in his end. He made some heads up plays clearing the puck. Douglas Murray was a FORCE to be reckoned with out there. He had me screaming in joy!!

Danny Boyle by far is one of the best in the game. The way he decided to throw the team on his shoulders and score two goals was inspiring to see. Make’s you think what a captain/alternate should be doing.

Tory Mitchell was back in the lineup for the first time after missing the entire season with a broken leg. I was so excited to see Tory out there. His energy, jump, and willingness to do what it takes to win battles are a welcome spice added to this lineup. He’s going to be a big difference maker in this lineup. I was rooting for Tory to get the game winner but maybe next time.

Nabby made a lot of good saves in the third and was clutch when the Sharks needed him the most. Good to see Nabby regain some confidence and come out with a win. I’m sure he’s feeling good about tomorrow’s game and he knows he’s going to need to be the better goalie on the ice.

One thing I’m going to complain about is the play of Joe Thornton. Most of the time he was invisible out there, and I’m going to say ENOUGH is ENOUGH!! Get out there and be a difference maker!!

I’m sick of this slow, passing, nonchalant mentality! It’s a joke!! You are supposed to be a LEADER!! You look like a damn fool when a smaller Scott Niedermayer knocks you around like a clown punching bag kids have. Drive to the net, get in to dirty areas, and be the Thomas Holmstrom of this team!!

Now, Sharks fans, don’t give me this, “That’s not Jumbo’s game” BS!! Champions do WHATEVER it takes to win. Changing their style of play should happen naturally if you’re being shut down!! So far, his two assists in three games (minus one also) are ri-god-damn-diculous!! We need more from you, Joe.

Overall, I’m feeling very confident about the Sharks coming out of the war the victor. The Ducks have been playing really well, but I think last night was the turning point the Sharks needed. We just need an even better performance Thursday night.

San Jose will not have it easy and I say throw the hardest at them. If they are champions, it won’t matter one damn bit who it is!! They will find a way to win.

GO SHARKS!!
