Last week the Mets took their first look at Citi field in a regular season game.
I did not go to Citi, but it sounds like Mets fans loved it. Just ask Max Colten about it, or read his article Opening Day at Citi Field: New York Mets vs. San Diego Padres. He has great photos of the place.
The Mets still have one game left in Citi field, but we have already gotten a feel for the place and we have learned about our Mets new home.
David Wright and the rest of the Mets players love the park, and the fans are crazy about it. We are very happy with our new home, we are happy with our Shake Shack and the other restraints we have.
Going on the road.
When thinking of this matchup most people start remembering the 2006 NLCS, as the Card's beat the Mets in seven games and went on to win the World Series, bad memories for Mets fans and good ones for Cardinals fans
The Mets are going to leave their beautiful home and go on the road to St Louis.
The Cardinals may have the best player in baseball on their team in Albert Pujols, if he is not the best player in baseball then he is at least the best player in the NL.
And he is on a hot start to the season, he has hit four home runs and has 14 RBI, it must be because he is on my fantasy team. He is only 29 years old and he already has 323 Home Runs in his career. He has won the MVP two times in his career, and won of those was last year.
He really deserved the MVP in 2006, but Ryan Howard won it. I think that was a wrong call by baseball's MVP voters.
But Albert is not the only first Baseman in baseball that has started the season well, Carlos Delgado has three Home Runs this season and 13 RBI. He has been the second best player on the Mets behind Johan Santana.
But Santana will not be pitching in this series, he pitched on Saturday throwing a great games against the Brewers.
Game One
The Mets will send Oliver Perez to pitch game one of the series.
Last time Perez started he was great, he threw six-inning and only gave up one run and struckout four Padres batters in his first win of the season.
All Mets fans know that there are two Perez's on the Mets, the good one and the bad one. Just because they are in the same body does not mean they are the same person, when Perez is hot nobody can hit against him. He could be unstoppable, and Mets fans would love to see that out of him.
The bad Perez is wild, if he comes out to a bad start the Mets will be in trouble.
The Cardinals will send Joel Pineiro to the mound to face the Mets.
He has started the season well, he has two wins and no loses. Bu his ERA is 5.40 and he only has five strikeouts.
He has had one great start this season and one bad one. On his first start he threw 6.2 innings of two run ball helping the Card's beat Houston. On his second start the D-Backs got to him and he only threw five innings and gave up five runs. But he got the win anyway thanks to help from Chris Duncan and Ryan Ludwick.

We're going to send you the most entertaining St Louis Cardinals articles, videos, and podcasts from around the web.
