WWE Elimination Chamber Prediction Challenge: The Results!

Another month, another WWE Pay-Per-View offering behind us. The Road to Wrestlemania is fast approaching it's final leg.

While last Sunday's Elimination Chamber may have disappointed some, it is undeniable that there were still a fair share of surprises and upsets which will undoubtedly keep us all talking in the coming weeks.

Running alongside the event was the second installment of the WWE Pay-Per-View Prediction Challenge series—the 2013 Elimination Chamber Prediction Challenge.

For those of you who took part, thank you for your continued support of the challenges so far (the 2013 Royal Rumble Prediction Challenge is available here).

As promised, following the collection of results from this event I have now created two league tables for competitors. 

The first, available on the next slide, shows a breakdown of results just for the Elimination Chamber event.

I have also detailed a cumulative league table for both the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber Prediction Challenges, which are available later on in the slideshow.

The next Prediction Challenge based around Wrestlemania will be published next week, so please keep an eye out if you wish to take part. If you are new and would like to enter, please feel free to comment below or message me.

Once again, this month's Elimination Chamber Prediction Challenge was hotly contested, with nearly 150 entrants managing to put forward predictions before the event.

We had our fair share of uncannily accurate predictions (again), but also an entertaining selection of entries listing "alternative predictions".

Like before, I'll give a brief breakdown of the Top and Bottom 3 (below), and then list the full results in a table at the bottom of the page.

1st - Chris M (1) - 64 Points

Chris won February's Challenge with 64 Points, one point clear of his nearest rivals. Chris correctly selected the winner of the Chamber match (Jack Swagger) and correctly guessed both men who would leave the PPV as World Champions, including the method of victory for the Rock.

Well done Chris! Fantastic effort!

 

T2nd - Hunico For WWE Champ & James Galvin - 63 Points

A returning Hunico shared second place with newbie James Galvin to score a fantastic 63 Points. Both correctly selected winning World Champions, with only slight variations in the superstars selected who would partake in the Chamber match.

 

T4th - Alvaro Castro & Complane Boy - 61 Points

Falling just short of a winning score, once again two entrants shared the honors here to make up the top 5 of the ECP Challenge. Del Rio and Rock were again selected as winners, but the selection of Y2J in the Chamber match itself ultimately cost both entrants:

 

T6th - Andreas Kasekamp & B Mer - 58 Points

T8th - Dom Martin & Samuel Haskins - 57 Points

10th - Randy Thomas - 56 Points

 

Well done to all those who managed to make the Top 10! Some familiar names from January have carried over to this month, and this should reflect in the cumulative league table on the next slide.

But, before we move on to the full results for the Elimination Chamber Prediction Challenge, here are the Bottom 3 for February's event:

 

137th - Chris M (2) - 5 Points

A fantastic effort from Chris M again, managing to not only win the EC Prediction Challenge, but also manage to finish dead last with his alternative entry. Selections of Hideki Matsuki, Jim Duggan and Chris Benoit here ensured the wooden spoon for Chris.

 

136th - John Grogan - 7 Points

Less of a comedy entry, John was quite unlucky here with his predictions. Selecting Orton, Ziggler and CM Punk to be the big three winners of the night really let this entry down.

 

135th - John Sweeney - 8 Points

A second John suffered the same fate as his namesake (above), let down massively by the non-appearance of the Great Khali and Sheamus in the Chamber, in addition to CM Punk's loss to the Rock.

 

*SPECIAL MENTION    T130th - Jeff Arjen - 15 Points

Despite entering (what I can only assume to be) comedy predictions, Jeff still managed to beat 7 others in the standings, with his selection of 80's/90's stars. The Gobbledy Gooker and Doink were the highlights of the entry, with a Rock win ensuring enough points were accrued to avoid the bottom of the table.
