Las Vegas Bowl: EA Sports' NCAA Football 13 Simulates Boise State vs. Washington

Brian MaziqueCorrespondent IIIDecember 10, 2012

College football fans can only hope the Maaco Las Vegas Bowl—or any other bowl game this season—is as exciting as this EA Sports' NCAA Football 13 simulation. I arranged the simulation according to the current depth charts for both teams.

I made corrections based on injuries, and other issues that have caused the lineups to change since the game shipped in mid-July. Of course, I had to edit all of the player names (or download them via Roster Share), as EA Sports and other gaming publishers are prohibited from including amateur athletes names in any game.

That said, the players still play true to their real life counterparts.

I placed the skill level on Heisman (the highest possible difficulty) to ensure there was no funny business, and that each team would perform at their best and realistically.

Thankfully, EA Sports included the real Sam Boyd Stadium in Whitney, Nev. It is decked out with the cool Las Vegas Bowl logos, and it makes it look and feel like a bowl game.

As for the simulation, Broncos fans have to hope their team doesn't fall behind by so much, but I'm sure they'll be happy with the result.

If Joe Southwick can produce this type of performance. he'll make a ton of Broncos fans forget about Kellen Moore. The virtual Keith Price of Washington wasn't too bad in the game, but the Huskies' defense really went to sleep in the fourth quarter.

This is just one of 12 bowl games I'll simulate. Hopefully, the others will be as exciting and entertaining.

Besides the BCS Bowl games, here is a list of the other bowl games that will be simulated:

Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl - Baylor vs. No. 17 UCLA - Watch it Here

Valero Alamo Bowl - No. 23 Texas vs. No. 13 Oregon State

Chick-fil-A Bowl - No. 8 LSU vs. No. 14 Clemson

Capital One Bowl - No. 7 Georgia vs. No. 16 Nebraska

Outback Bowl - No. 10 South Carolina vs. No. 18 Michigan

AT&T Cotton Bowl - No. 9 Texas A&M vs. No. 11 Oklahoma

The highlights of those simulations will be posted on the Video Games main page, and on the team's page when they are completed.
