WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk and Thursday's WWE Buzz
There are a few reasons to like WWE a lot more after a major pay-per-view. Sure, we all love to see what the company has in store for a show like SummerSlam, but there is so much going on to promote a show like that, it almost feels like WWE tries to squeeze too much in.
Following those shows, the company almost takes a step back to see what it is going to do. I'm not saying it all works, but there is at least the sense a lot more could go right.
Night of Champions will be an interesting show because of what WWE wants to accomplish with it.

BROCK LESNAR TAKING PAUL HEYMAN WITH HIM
It turns out that Brock Lesnar's "retirement" from WWE is going to have ramifications on Paul Heyman's future with the company. According to a report from PW Insider, Heyman's contract ran out at SummerSlam and he is not likely to return until Lesnar does.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is this a good call by WWE?
Our Take: With the storyline we have been presented, it is the only one that makes sense. It is too bad WWE felt the need to play things out this way, as keeping Heyman around as a mouthpiece could have been great because he is such a good talker.
Hype Meter: 2 out of 5 Unceremonious Exits
It is no secret that Heyman and WWE have had their issues in the past, but they always seem to find each other when circumstances dictate. At the very least, Heyman got another run in a company that few would have predicted just a few months ago.

REY MYSTERIO IS CONCUSSED
In yet another injury that will prevent him from doing anything for the time being, Rey Mysterio has been sidelined with a concussion, according to WWE. The Masked Man only recently made his return after missing nearly a year with knee surgery.
Question on Everybody's Mind: How close to the end is Mysterio?
Our Take: Even though he is always one of the best parts of any show he works on, you have to wonder how much longer Mysterio wants to keep doing this. I'm sure he is making good money, but at some point the body makes the decision for you.
Hype Meter: 0 out of 5 Bad Injuries
Concussions are a tricky animal. No two are the same, so who knows how long it will be before Mysterio gets cleared. Hopefully it is a temporary setback, but WWE is very cautious with head injuries, and rightfully so.

CM PUNK REALLY GETTING A NEW BELT, WE SWEAR...MAYBE
The long-running joke in WWE is how many times people will talk about getting a new championship belt without every actually getting one. CM Punk has promised one for awhile now, and it seems like steps are being taken to get it. Here is what Rick Petko of Orange County Choppers tweeted on Wednesday

Question on Everybody's Mind: When can we get rid of the spinner atrocity?
Our Take: Hey, WWE likes knowing that its most prestigious title is constantly mocked for its lame design. Seriously, who knows when it will be finished? If I had to guess, I would say it could be done by Night of Champions.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 New Designs
I don't care how long we have to wait for a new belt, it won't come soon enough. It sounds silly to say, since it is just a belt, but that design really does make it hard to take the championship seriously.

NEW NAME ADDED TO 2013 HALL OF FAME MIX
Last week, we showed you reports of some of the names mentioned for possible induction to the 2013 Hall of Fame Class. There is reportedly one more name being bantered about: John Bradshaw Layfield, aka JBL.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Does JBL have Hall of Fame credentials?
Our Take: Normal credentials? No. WWE-standard credentials? Absolutely. Plus, JBL has the added bonus of being a name outside of WWE, which will get some publicity. He was always one of the better brawlers WWE had, and was able to find a good enough character to get him into the main event scene.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Legendary Returns
With so many of the biggest names in history being inducted into the Hall of Fame already, it will be interesting to see how WWE continues to fill out the classes in the future. You have to think that holding this year's ceremony in New York will bring out the big guns.
