LA Kings Parade 2012: Route, Date, Time, TV Schedule and More
The Los Angeles Kings finally have their crown.
After 44 years of waiting, the Kings won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, defeating the New Jersey Devils, 6-1, on Monday.
It was a fitting victory for the Kings, who dominated the majority of the 2012 playoffs. They finished with a stellar playoff record of 16-4 and lost just one road game during the entire postseason.
The close-out game came in the friendly confines of the Staples Center, though, providing the hometown fans with a well-deserved show. Goalie Jonathan Quick became just the third American player to win the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the postseason.
The Kings will now celebrate their championship with a parade through downtown Los Angeles Thursday afternoon. Here is everything you need to know for the big event.
Date: Thursday, June 14, 2012
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. local time
