Fantasy WWE: Monday Night Raw (4/30)

1 of 11

Hey, Bleacher Report! This is the posting of this past Monday's episode of Monday Night Raw. As the name implies, this is "Fantasy Raw." By no means will any of this ever happen—it's just a continuation from the Fantasy WWE Series.

The ratings war started a few weeks back, so please leave a comment with a rating from 1 (hated it) to 10 (loved it). Please give some feedback too—it will only help us.

    Let's get to Raw!

Promo: New World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins Comes to the Ring

2 of 11

We start the show and Seth Rollins comes to the ring with belt around waist and microphone in hand.

Seth: At Backlash, I finally proved all of you people wrong, as I became World Heavyweight Champion. Each and every one of you wrote me off as a loud mouth that couldn't make it on the big stage. You all thought I was going to fail yet again on Sunday. However, I once again backed up everything I said and I stand before you, the new World Heavyweight Champ! I hate to say I told you so, but it's true. I am the most skilled wrestler to ever step foot in a WWE ring, and you all know it. The only reason you people boo me is because you want to be me. However, there is only one Seth Rollins, and he is the real deal, he is real entertainment, and he is a real champion!

Suddenly, Randy Orton's music hits and he comes down to the ring with a mic in his hand.

Randy: Ha! Your idiocy is quite amusing. You know damn well that I did all the damage on Kassius with an RKO, and you just ran in and picked up the scraps!

Seth: Call it what you want, but at the end of the day, I am the champion.

Randy: Not for long! As the former champ, I'm entitled to a rematch and I am demanding I get it right here, right now! Rollins immediately panics.

Seth: Wow, slow down buddy. I just went through a grueling triple threat match on Sunday. I am not ready to compete in a ti---Vince's music goes off and he goes down to the ring.

Vince: Seth, you will be defending your title tonight.  However, it will not be against Randy Orton. Randy, your time at the top is finished. You lost last night, so now you're heading to the back of the line!

    Randy looks enraged and shocked.

Vince: Instead, you will be facing the one man who proved worthy last night, Kassius Ohno!

Orton stares in disbelief, as Kassius was pinned at Backlash.Suddenly, Kassius hops over the barricade and attacks Seth with a chair. Randy tries interfering but takes a chair shot to the head.

Both men lay unconscious as Vince shakes hands with Ohno. The two men head to the back together, both carrying a huge smile.

Match 1: Justin Gabriel vs. Joe Hennig: No. 1 Contender for the European Title

3 of 11

Justin comes down first and he gets a great reaction from the fans. Joe Hennig follows and gets a few boos, but mainly is cheered as well. The two get in the ring and shake hands before backing into the corner. The ref calls for the bell and the match begins.

Gabriel sends Joe down early with a discus elbow smash. Hennig manages to get back up quickly, but is once again knocked down, this time by a leg sweep. Justin continues his early success, connecting with a reverse STO into the Koji Clutch. Joe begins fading and is in danger of losing this match quickly. However, he uses everything he has to get a hold of the ropes and force Justin to release the submission hold.

Gabriel then heads to the top rope as Hennig pulls himself up. When Joe gets to his feet, Gabriel goes for a flying cross body, but the son of Mr. Perfect reverses it with a dropkick in midair. Hennig quickly pops up and hits a DDT. Joe then tosses Gabriel off the ropes, into a hip toss.

Justin starts to pull himself up, but Joe stops him and nails an Enzu Lariat. Justin's goes down hard, with his face smacking hard into the canvas. Hennig then goes for a pendulum backbreaker, but Gabriel reverse it into a huracanrana.

Joe goes flying through the ropes and crashes to the ground at ringside. Justin doesn't wait, climbing out of the ring and going right after Joe. Hennig tries escaping, but is stopped by a huge tilt-a-whirl-DDT from Gabriel. Riding all of the momentum, Justin tosses Hennig into the ring and climbs up on the apron. Joe is still down as Justin goes for a springboard 450 splash.

However, Hennig manages to pull his knees up, causing Gabriel to hurt his ribs. Hennig looks to take advantage, going for the Hennigplex. However, Justin is able to slips out of it and hits an enzuigiri. He makes the pin. 1...2...Kick Out!  Justin is shocked, but nonetheless continues to work.

He climbs to the top rope for a 450 Splash. but Joe stands and meets him on the top turnbuckle. The two pound back and forth until Joe takes advantage with a knee to the ribs, which Gabriel injured earlier in the match.

Hennig then once again goes for a Hennigplex, but Justin punches his way out of it. Gabriel then pushes Joe off with repeated kicks, sending him down hard to the mat. Gabriel then sees his opportunity and seizes it. He gets in position and goes flying with a huge 450 splash. He makes the pin. 1...2...3!!!!

HERE IS YOUR WINNER AND NEW #1 CONTENDER FOR THE EUROPEAN TITLE...JUSTIN GABRIEL!!!!! (Time of Match: 6:23)

Justin celebrates momentarily, but is interrupted by Mason Ryan and Will Regal. Mason runs into the ring and trades punches with Gabriel, but gets the advantage when Regal attacks Justin from behind. Ryan then lifts him up and nails a huge powerbomb.

Justin is helpless and Will locks in the Regal Stretch. He is ruthless with the hold and Gabriel eventually passes out. Mason and Regal taunt The Capetown Werewolf momentarily before heading to the locker room.

Promo: Alex Riley Is in the Ring

4 of 11

Alex Riley comes out to a pretty mixed reaction. He means business as he climbs in the ring and grabs a mic.

Alex: Last night, I defeated Shelton Benjamin and in my eyes, proved myself worthy of some respect. However, Shelton doesn't quite agree. Instead, he finds it necessary to attack me after the match and embarrass me. So Benjamin, get out here and please explain what I need to do to gain some respect.

Shelton's music hits and he comes down to the ring with a microphone.

Shelton: I'm not going to lie, Alex, you were very impressive last night. However, as a seasoned veteran, let me be the first to tell you that one good night doesn't earn you anything. You have to go out there night in and night out, constantly proving why you deserve to be here. For weeks, you did nothing but come out here and lose. At Backlash, you managed to turn things around, but it is just the beginning. So NO, as of now you don't deserve my respect.

Alex: Well, in that case, I have some work to do. And I'll start right now. I have myself a match with John Morrison and I promise you that I will earn a dominating victory! I don't care what it takes, because I am ready to prove myself worthy.

Shelton: A win over JoMo? That is how you plan to earn my respect? You'd be better off going up against Hornswoggle! It's going to take a hell of a lot more than a win over the modern day "Marty Jannetty" to earn anything from me.

John Morrison's music hits and he comes down to the ring. He seemingly took offense to Shelton's Marty Jannetty comments because instead of going after Riley, he hits Shelton with an unexpected roundhouse kick before tossing him out of the ring. A ref then runs down to the ring for the upcoming match between Alex and Morrison.

Match 2: Alex Riley vs. John Morrison

5 of 11

The ref calls for the bell and the two men go right after each other. They go back and forth, until Riley manages to hit a kick to the gut, followed up with a snap suplex. John jumps back to his feet, but Alex nails a front headlock face buster with a forearm smash.

Riley then goes for a Michinoku driver, but Morrison is able to squeeze out. When Alex turns back around he is hit with a neck breaker from John. Picking up momentum, Morrison is able to hit a side Russian leg sweep, followed up by a cover. 1...2...Kick Out!

With Alex struggling to stand, Morrison climbs out on the apron. When Riley finally gets to his feet, John goes for a springboard cross body, but Riley catches him in midair and body slams him to the canvas. Alex then follows up the reversal with an hip toss into a neckbreaker.

Morrison is reeling as he uses all of his strength to get up. However, Riley was ready for him and connects with a massive shoulder block. Instead of going for a pin, Alex takes a rare trip to the top rope. When John gets back to his feet, Riley connects with a huge missile dropkick! He goes for the pin. 1...2...Kick Out!!

Riley is shocked that he couldn't finish the job. He gets up and waits for Morrison to stand. When John gets to his feet, Alex goes for a big boot, but misses. Morrison runs towards the ropes and goes for a flash kick. He connects and goes for another pin. 1...2...Kick Out!!

John is in complete control as he makes his way to the top rope. Alex is still down as Morrison goes flying and hits a massive moonsault. He isn't finished there as he lefts Riley up and goes for the Easy Ride.

However, Alex manages to elbow his way out of it. Morrison staggers before regaining his composure, but it is too late. Alex takes control and nails a spinebuster. He goes for the pin. 1...2...Kick Out!

Alex is shocked, but continues to work. He goes for a side slam and connects, sending John hard into the canvas. Seeking a win, Riley then tries finishing it off with "You're Dismissed." However, Morrison is able to elbow his way out of it.

John then hits a Pele Kick out of nowhere! Morrison drags his opponent into the corner and signals for Starship Pain. He goes for it, but Riley slides out of the way just in time. Morrison's ribs smack hard into the mat. He can barely get to his feet as Riley stares on in anticipation.

Once John stands, Alex lifts him up and connects with "You're Dismissed." He makes the pin. 1...2...3!!!! HERE IS YOUR WINNER....ALEX RILEY!!! (Time of Match: 5:57)

Shelton seems very unimpressed at ringside and heads to the back without a word. Meanwhile, Alex celebrates his victory, but his attention is turned towards Benjamin.

JR: Say what you want, but Riley looked great tonight against a very game competitor.

Jerry: You may be impressed, but it doesn't seem like Shelton feels the same way.

Promo: Randy Orton Storms into Vince McMahon's Office

6 of 11

Orton barges into Vince's office with a dangerous look on his face. A security guard tries stopping him, but is sent hard over the desk and toppling onto McMahon.

Vince pulls him off and stares at Randy in amusement.

Randy: You know damn well I deserve that title match instead of Kassius! Give me my shot or I'll punt you in the head just like I did a few years back!

Vince: Are you threatening me? I'm your boss. So shut your mouth and let me speak! You will be competing tonight, but not in a World Title Match. Instead, you will be going up against Mark Henry!

Randy: When you came back, you promised to be fair and just.

Vince: The only thing I have promised is change! For years, you have always been the "guy." But your time has come and gone. It is a new era, and you either need to adjust or give up! Now get the hell out of my office!

Randy is frustrated but nonetheless is escorted out of his office by a new security guard.

Match 3: Layla vs. Kelly Kelly

7 of 11

Layla is out first and she gets a decent pop, mainly from sympathy because of her situation with Drew. She gets in the ring and grabs a mic.

Layla: Drew, I know you are backstage listening and I have something I need to say. I don't know if you want to be with me or Tiffany, but I honestly don't care anymore. You are interfering with my career and I just can't risk losing the thing I desire most. So it is time you make a decision. Tiffany or me? I've waited long enough and sooner or later, I'm going to stop waiting.

Kelly Kelly comes out and also seems sympathetic of Layla. Kelly climbs in the ring and goes to ask if she is okay, but Layla slaps her across the face. Layla then pounces on her opponent and pummels her down to the mat.

The ref still hasn't rung the bell as he tries to pull the divas apart. Eventually the two separate and the match begins.

Layla goes right back on the attack from the get go, hitting back-to-back dropkicks. Kelly tries rolling out of the ring for a quick breather, but is interrupted by suicide dive from Layla. The British diva pops back up and toss Kelly back into the ring. She obviously means business as she hits a back suplex and goes for the pin on K2. 1...2...Kick Out!

Layla doesn't stop to argue, lifting her opponent to her feet before going for a neckbreaker. However, Kelly is able to break away from it. She then is able to hit a huracanrana followed up with a running cross body. She goes for the pin. 1...2...Kick Out!

Kelly quickly heads to the top rope as Layla struggles to stand. When Layla gets up, Kelly Kelly goes for a diving clothesline. She connects, and makes another cover. 1...2...Kick Out!

Kelly is surprised that Layla was able to kick out again! Frustrated, Kelly Kelly goes for the K2, but Layla is able to roll out and goes for a school girl pin. 1...2...Kick Out!

Both girls get up at the same time, but Kelly hits a kick to the gut followed up with another attempt at the K2. However, she is once again reversed by Layla, who lifts Kelly up and connects with an electric chair drop. Layla the pulls her opponent up and hits a huge neck breaker! She goes for the pin. 1...2...3!!! HERE IS YOUR WINNER....LAYLA!!!! (Time of Match: 4:31)

Layla celebrates another big win here on Raw, before making her way to the locker room. Meanwhile, Kelly is able to walk out under her own power after a tough defeat.

Promo: Rey Mysterio Backstage

8 of 11

Backstage, Todd Grisham is with Rey Mysterio.

Todd: "Hey Rey, welcome back to Monday Night Raw!"

Rey: "Thanks Todd. It's great to be back!"

Todd: "Now that you are back, what do you plan to do?"

Rey: "Well, before I left, I was World Heavyweight Champion. I was on top of the world, and it felt great. And I plan to get back to that point in my career. However, I can't get there without the support of the WWE Unive---"

Out of nowhere, Wade Barrett jumps Rey from behind. He throws Mysterio into the replay screen, causing Mysterio's face to shatter the glass.

Wade then take the mic from Todd and walks out to the ring. He addresses the WWE Universe as he makes his way down the ramp.

Wade: You see, I actually am a fan of Rey Mysterio. Rey and I have certainly had our differences in the past, but I consider him a friend. What I just did, it wasn't personal. It was a career choice. I plan to win the World Championship, but so does Rey. Taking Rey out is just a way to make my job easier. Not to mention, after the beating I just gave out, Vince McMahon will definitely be impressed. Despite how I've acted over the past month or so, I am not here for you people. I don't care about you people. The only person I care about is myself!

Match 4: Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry

9 of 11

Orton is out first to a solid reaction and he looks enraged. Mark Henry comes out next and the crowd pummels him with boos. He gets accompanied by Abraham Washington, who taunts the fans as they walk down the ramp and into the ring. Once both men are ready, the ref calls for the bell and the match begins!

Henry starts out on fire, nailing a massive shoulder block. Randy gets up and stares at Mark in disbelief, realizing the power of the big man. Orton tries using his speed as advantage, but can't seem to escape Henry, who connects with a front power slam.

When Randy gets back to his feet, Mark grabs him and locks in a bear hug. Henry squeezes down on Randy's torso, as Orton begins to fade. However, Randy quickly reverses the hold with a DDT on Mark. He goes for the pin 1...2...Kick Out!

Mark is down as Randy goes on the attack with his patented stomps. However, Henry doesn't even react to them. He gets up to his feet and nails Randy with another powerslam. Orton begins getting back up, but Mark picks him up and connects with a Canadian backbreaker. He goes for the pin. 1...2...Kick Out!

Henry seems unstoppable as he lifts Randy back up. Mark is able to hit a gorilla press slam, causing Orton to writhe in pain. Randy struggles to get to his feet, as Mark watches in anticipation. Orton then takes advantage, hitting Mark with an inverted headlock backbreaker before making the cover. 1...2...Kick Out!

Mark is growing frustrated, as he momentarily argues with the ref before going back on the attack. Henry drags Orton into the corner and climbs up to the second rope. He goes for a corner slingshot splash, and connects! He goes for the pin. 1...2...Kick Out!

JR: Mark's expression tells the whole story! How did Randy kick out yet again?!

Henry is in complete shock and frustration. He grabs Randy by the skull and tosses him into the corner. Mark then goes for a body avalanche. He connects, crushing Orton into the turnbuckle! Mark then goes for a power bomb, but Orton is able to pound his way out it.

Seeing an opportunity, Randy goes for an RKO. However, Mark tosses him down to the canvas. When Orton stands back up, he is hit with the World's Strongest Slam! Henry goes for the pin. 1...2...Kick Out!

Suddenly, Sheamus' theme song hits. He comes down to the ring as Henry stares in confusion. The Celtic Warrior gets in the ring, but doesn't go after Henry. Instead, he connects with a Brogue Kick on Randy, causing a DQ. Mark laughs at Orton's misfortune before leaving with Abe. HERE IS YOUR WINNER BY DQ....RANDY ORTON! (Time of Match: 8:41)

    Sheamus quickly grabs a microphone.

Sheamus: For weeks now, I have failed to escape mediocrity. And Randy, there is only one person to blame, and it is you. Months ago, at New Year's Revolution, you blind sighted me and cost me the World Title. Since then I have been stuck in a feud with Wade Barrett, keeping me from getting my revenge. However, now that I am finished with Wade, I have one sole purpose: To make you pay! The Great White is completely serious as he leaves Orton unconscious in the ring.
