WWE: The Rock and the Top 5 Superstars over the Age of 40 on the Roster
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson turns 40 today, and while it is hard to believe that the youthful Rocky that made his WWE debut in the 1996 Survivor Series is turning four decades old, most can agree that his performance at last month's WrestleMania 28 boasted The People's Champion's best physical intensity in years.
Rocky, however, is not alone. What follows is the top five wrestlers on the WWE roster over the age of 40.
The Undertaker
1 of 5Born: March 24, 1965 (age 47)
Wrestling Debut: 1984
Last Wrestled: April 1, 2012
Roster Status: Part-Time
The Undertaker's retirement may be eminent, but during his End of an Era match at WrestleMania 28, the Deadman proved that even at 47, he still has what it takes to put on a great match. His Santa Claus schedule makes the Undertaker only a part-time wrestler, but nonetheless one of the best.
R-Truth
2 of 5Born: January 19, 1972 (age 40)
Wrestling Debut: March 1997
Last Wrestled: May 1, 2012
Roster Status: Full-Time
As the newest Tag Team champion, it seems that the WWE still has some faith in this recently-turned 40 superstar. R-Truth, may not be a spring chicken, but his moves are still impressive.
Kane
3 of 5Born: April 26, 1967 (age 45)
Wrestling Debut: June 18, 1992
Last Wrestled: May 1, 2012
Roster Status: Full-Time
At 45, Kane seems to show no signs of slowing down. His recent performances with Randy Orton, though poorly booked, showcased the Big Red Machine's still nimble body. As it stands, Kane appears to have the potential to be a full-time wrestler for years to come.
Triple H
4 of 5Born: Jult 27, 1969 (age 42)
Wrestling Debut: March 24, 1992
Last Wrestled: April 1, 2012
Roster Status: Part-Time
Triple H's performance at WrestleMania 28 was not only one of the best performances of the night, but one of the best matches of his career. At 42, the Game may be over the hill, but is not past his prime. His return to the ring may be sooner than we think, as a feud with Brock Lesnar seems to be lurking in the near future.
Booker T
5 of 5Born: May 1, 1965 (age 47)
Wrestling Debut: March 1, 1989
Last Wrestled: April 1, 2012
Roster Status: Part-Time
At nearly half-a-century old, Booker T still maintains his body in top physical conditions. His feud with Cody Rhodes last year proved that the six-time world champion can still keep up with the young kids.
