WWE Extreme Rules was a win for everyone involved in the WWE.
Despite John Cena having the final word in his match with Brock Lesnar, it was Lesnar who really emerges as the true winner between the two.
Last week, Lesnar tried to relay that he was going to be a bully through words, but that did not work well. It was hard to believe the whole promo.
Lesnar fumbled with his words and did not come off very sharp to fans. While some people felt that he was genuine and were happy with his performance at the contract signing, an overwhelming amount felt that it was not a great display.
Lesnar gave the perfect solution to the issue of not being a smooth talker: perform in the ring and let his actions speak louder than his words.
That is exactly what he did at Extreme Rules.
From the minute that Lesnar walked to the ring, it was apparent that things were about to change in the WWE. He is doing things on his terms, wearing his MMA gloves and continuing to wear sponsors on his shorts.
When the fight began he made it clear what he was going to do to his opponents that step in his way. He delivered a dominating performance and did not have to say any words to relay that he was the new big bully in the WWE.
Although Cena defeated him, he undoubtedly struck fear into the rest of the WWE.
His larger-than-life performance on Sunday night solidified that he is the newest villain in the WWE, a villain that the WWE has not seen in years.
The WWE struck gold with Lesnar in his second time around with the organization. It is only a matter of time before he is terrorizing many superstars and adding an element to the WWE that has been nonexistent for years.
