FA Cup: Liverpool vs. Everton and 3 Players Most Likely to Score
Liverpool and Everton will clash in the semifinals of the FA Cup this week, with the winning set to take on the winner of the Tottenham vs. Chelsea match for a shot at English cup glory.
For Everton, they'll see this match as a chance to make something of an otherwise uneventful year that will likely see them end up with another mediocre mid-table finish.
For Liverpool, the cup stands as another possible item of silverware to add to the cupboard, after taking out the Carling Cup earlier in the year. With growing pressure on Kenny Daglish and the overall performance of the Reds play, success in the FA Cup is critical for both coaches and players alike.

If either team is going to win, funnily enough they're going to have to score goals.
And for goals, here's the three players most likely to end up the hero.
1. Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Last time these two sides met in the English Premier League, it was Gerrard who walked away with a hat trick next to his name, and he'll be hoping to do the same again in this one.
Whilst only netting five goals this season in the Premier League, Gerrard is always a danger in midfield with his attacking nature and sublime skills, and will certainly be a handful once again for the Everton defense.
The Toffees will be strong at the back, as they've been all year, but with the power of Gerrard primed and ready, Liverpool fans will know that anything is possible.
2. Nikica Jelavic (Everton)
In his last four matches with Everton, the Croatian has found the back of the net four times, with his most recent match a two-goal haul against Norwich which also saw him take the man of the match award.
Liverpool's defense has been solid all year—taking points from all the top sides in the competition—but can be prone to momentary lapses where Jelavic could strike.
3. Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
Suarez is also a great option to grab a goal for the Reds, as his eight Premier League goals this season make him the club's top scorer. He found the back of the net the last time these two sides met, and in a big match like the semifinal of the FA Cup, he could churn out one of his most impressive performances.
Overall
With goals sure to feature despite two defensively-minded teams, there are the three players most likely to score in this one—Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez for Liverpool, as well as Nikica Jelavic for Everton.
Personally, I like Suarez to grab a goal just before halftime for the Reds, and Steven Gerrard to double that total just after the interval, with Liverpool running out 2-0 winners and progressing through to their second competition final of the year.
