About

I live in Australia and no, we don't all ride kangaroos around.

Every sport gets my blood pumping and I love to play or write on any sport you give me. Just not golf. I gave up golf after losing four balls on the first hole one day. After that I said I'd never go back to it.

Manchester United, the Boston Celtics and the Green Bay Packers are my teams. I'm learning that they're quite an unusual combination but I guess that's what you get for just picking teams out of the air at a young age. Note that I don't hate you for your sporting teams, so please don't hate me for mine.

I finished the B/R Internship class in the summer of 2012 and graduated to World Football Featured Columnist from that. When I first started out writing on B/R as a Contributor, I was constantly amazed at the reads and comments that these Featured Columnists were getting. Through hard work and dedication to the sports that I love, I guess that's me too now.

It's all about consistency. Write well enough for long enough and you'll get there. I'm nowhere near "there" yet, but I've got full confidence that I can make it.

So thanks for all the reads, comments, abuse, hypocritical judgments, support, twitter mentions, angry emails, direct messages and hate mail. I keep it all in a box under my bed because it all matters so much to me. Or maybe not.

Sweet.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson, Blake Griffin, Rajan Rondo, Cam Newton, Paul Pierce, Sidney Crosby, Roger Federer, Lionel Messi, Don Bradman, Wayne Rooney

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Green Bay Packers, Boston Celtics, Manchester United

  • Favorite Coaches

Peter Wilson: my first ever coach. 1958-2006 and an absolute legend.

  • All Time Sports Moment

I scored the winning goal in my under/18 soccer grand-final. To me, that almost beats Manchester United's two goals in two minutes to beat Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League Final.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game. That or the Denver Nuggets having the most tattoos and hair on a single team.

  • Jordan or Russell?

As a player or as an owner?

  • Pele or Maradona?

Maradona. Pele could only use his feet to score.

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Federer.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Michael or Ralph? Either way I'd still take Senna.

Definitely, go ahead and put that link in (the other one was just his profile on the Aussie Olympic team site). I should have Googled him to see if there was indeed something "troubling" about him. Thanks for checking!

Hey there Dan :) Just wanted to say thanks so much for fanning me on here—I really appreciate the support. I also REALLY appreciate that you're a Sidney Crosby fan...don't find too many of them living outside of Pittsburgh ;) <3
