UPDATE: Wednesday, March 28, 3:40 p.m. ET by Donald Wood
While the WWE hyped up the annual press conference for WrestleMania 28 as something special, it was one of the biggest wastes of time I can remember. In a company like WWE, that is saying something.
From the Mayor of Miami doing an absolutely horrid job of whipping the crowd into a frenzy to CM Punk calling the Miami Marlins the Miami Gators, this was a verbal botchfest.
The highlight of the event was a brief face-to-face confrontation between John Cena and The Rock, but it lead to nothing but an awkward blow by at the as Rock walked off the stage.
Utterly disappointing, but maybe next year it will be better.

What We’re Watching For
While the WWE will claim that this is strictly a professional press conference, odds are that it will erupt into scenes similar to the ones we saw when Mike Tyson was the boxing heavyweight champion.
The crowds are already starting to arrive in Miami for the big event, so this press conference could turn into a circus with a few wild words and even a punch or two thrown.
Sitting The Rock on the same stage with John Cena and doing the same with CM Punk and Chris Jericho is like lighting a match next to a powder keg, but that’s exactly what the WWE wants.
The wilder the better.
