Sure the Super Bowl is really about the New York Giants and New England Patriots, but this is the biggest live event of the year and it marks the one time when the vast majority of America is doing the same thing.

Vegas has capitalized on this by allowing you to bet on virtually every aspect of this event. Here are five bets that you can brag about to your friends while keeping normally mundane events like the national anthem and the halftime show interesting and compelling.

1.How Many Times During the Super Bowl will Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth Mention the NBC Show “The Voice”? Over/Under 4.5 times

The latest American Idol rip-off is supposed to be NBC’s next big hit. So when you have a captive audience of over 200M people, you want to promote the crap out of it.

I thinking America is subjected to at least six promos for this puppy.

2. During the Halftime Show, How Many Costume Changes will Madonna go through? Over/Under 2.5

This is easy.

She has been a legend in the music industry for three decades and she’ll need an outfit for every decade, right?

I don’t expect her to wear a shirt that lights up in Christmas tree fashion like the Black Eyed Peas wore last year.

3. What QB Who ISN’T in the Super Bowl Will Get Mentioned First By Announcers? Peyton Manning, Tony Romo or Tim Tebow?

Why is Tony Romo in the group? He has no ties to either team like Manning and isn’t the story of the league like Tebow.

It has to be Peyton, who will be shown pacing back and forth trying not to scream at the fact his little brother may pass him in Super Bowl championships or his arch nemesis will further distance himself historically.

4. Who Will Score More Points on Super Bowl Sunday? New York Giants or LeBron James?

James plays the defensively challenged Toronto Raptors Sunday, which means you can pencil him in for at least 25.

The Giants scored 24 in their regular season tilt against the Pats, so this one is going to be a close call.

Considering the Pats have the 31st-ranked pass defense and the Heat may sit James in the fourth quarter if the game is a blowout, I’m leaning towards the Giants.

5. Will the First Super Bowl Beverage Commercial be for a Beer or a Soft Drink?

The ultimate in random prop bets…this is a wager you make to start a conversation with that hot girl sitting by herself in the corner who doesn’t know a lick about football.

For your own sake, hope you guess right.
