US Open Fourth Round Live Updates, Leaderboard, Highlights

It wasn't easy. But it's over.

Wyndham Clark arrived Sunday with a six-shot lead, saw it dramatically trimmed as the field charged and his game rattled, but he showed some mettle down the stretch and closed out the 2026 U.S. Open by a single shot over Sam Burns.

He's the 90th player in history to win two majors, following his 2023 U.S. Open win in Los Angeles.

Clark went wire to wire to win his second one, earning a two-shot lead after Thursday's first round before widening it to four and six shots after Friday's and Saturday's play, respectively.

"I played some ugly golf the last two days, but my putter and short game kept me in it," Clark said. "Ultimately, it comes down to just believing good things are going to happen. (Scottie's) the best player in the world but today's my day."

Surprise, Surprise!

Clark didn't know his dad, who came in on a red-eye flight from Denver, had arrived to the club until the family emerged for celebration on the 18th green.

Ten feet from a tying birdie at 17.

Tumult at the Top

Tough luck on the 13th green for Clark and Scheffler. Clark's approach hit in the middle and rolled off, ultimately leaving him with a bogey—dropping his edge to two for the moment. Scheffler had a 20-footer for birdie that skimmed the edge.
