Arizona State vs. Boise State: 3 Things We Want from Kellen Moore's Final Game

Johnathan CaceDec 22, 2011

One of the greatest quarterbacks to play college football will take his last snap tonight before moving on to bigger and better things.

Kellen Moore has been the quarterback for Boise State since 2008, and he now has the record for most wins by a quarterback in NCAA. The Broncos would not be anywhere close to where they are today without his leadership, accuracy and poise under pressure.

He will face off against Arizona State, and many people will be watching the game just for him.

Here are three things they want to see out of his final performance.

No Interceptions

1 of 3

Moore has been one of the best decision-makers in college football during the past three years.

His touchdown-to-interception ratio is an astronomical 115-16 during that time span, and his 74 percent completion rate is second in the country.

People want to see one of the most consistently efficient passers in the country have a mistake-free game.

300-Plus Yards Passing, 3 or More Touchdowns

2 of 3

Arizona State’s pass defense ranks 107th out of 120 teams in the country and is giving up 270 yards per game.

The Sun Devils have also allowed at least 29 points in five of their last six games.

Kellen Moore is throwing for more than 300 yards per game and his offense is scoring more than 40 points.

The numbers may seem high, but this is well within his and the team’s capabilities.

A Boise State Win

3 of 3

The only thing keeping the Broncos out of the BCS and possibly the national championship was a last-minute loss to TCU.

They haven’t lost a bowl game since 2008, and Arizona State has been a total train wreck late this season.

If Boise doesn’t win this game, it will be because Moore’s team didn’t show up to play for his last game.

Nobody wants to see that happen.
