Jaguars vs. Falcons: Sneaky Fantasy Plays from Thursday Night's Matchup
Here’s a quick look at three underrated fantasy plays from tonight’s game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons.
Jacquizz Rodgers
Rodgers has hardly received any touches in the last three weeks (five carries, five catches), but he should get some more playing time in this one.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Starting running back Michael Turner is already at 254 carries on the season, is dealing with a minor groin injury and Atlanta could be up early against the Jags.
That would mean added work for the explosive Rodgers, who took a 31-yard catch to the house last week. Jacksonville is solid against the run, but this is a matchup where Rodgers, with 8-10 touches, could make for a sneaky flex play in very deep leagues.
Falcons Defense
You might look at the box score and see that Jacksonville scored 41 points last week, but that’s a bit misleading. Two touchdowns came from the defense and Tampa Bay was helpless in stopping Maurice Jones-Drew.
You might also see that the Falcons are the fourth worst fantasy defense this year. Still, it's a good matchup this week.
With Atlanta playing ahead, the Jaguars won’t be able to rely on their stud, Jones-Drew, as much as usual. Instead, they’ll have to turn to quarterback Blaine Gabbert a lot more, which means plenty of opportunities for takeaways and sacks for Atlanta.
If you’ve been playing your defenses based on matchups throughout the season, feel free to roll with Atlanta tonight at home.
Marcedes Lewis
The Jaguars pass offense has been quite anemic this year, but they’ll have to throw it more than usual in this one and that means at least someone should be productive.
Lewis was a fantasy sleeper to start the year but has since fallen from grace. However, he’s working his way back to relevancy.
In the past four weeks, Lewis has led the Jaguars in targets three times en route to 16 catches for 215 yards.
He’ll get plenty of looks again in this one and should be good for at least 60 yards. Lewis is also a big target in the red zone and has a great chance to score, remarkably, for the first time this season. He had 10 touchdowns last year.
