Week 15 Fantasy Football Rankings: Big Play Performers Sure to Be Point Machines
This late into the fantasy football season, you cannot afford to have a slip-up when selecting your roster. You have to find those players with matchups that will see your players have great chances of scoring points.
The players that are on this list will have point totals that are upwards in the 20's to 30's.
You have to start these fantasy all-stars, or hopefully, you are not going to be playing against them in your playoffs.
Cincinnati Bengals RB Cedric Benson
1 of 5Cedric Benson has been consistent with his previous seasons with the Bengals. He is on pace to score seven touchdowns and rush for over 1,000 yards on 280-300 carries. In the past four games, he has seen his numbers vary from good to bad.
The Bengals travel to St. Louis this week to take on the Rams and the worst rushing defense in the NFL. Benson owners will see the running back have his best game of the season.
The Rams this year have given up 2,083 yards, which breaks down to 157 yards per game. Benson will have a game where he has 25-30 attempts with 150-185 yards and a touchdown or two.
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin
2 of 5Percy Harvin has broken out over the last three weeks as someone you have to play every week.
In Harvin's last three games, he has 26 receptions, 320 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The Vikings have lost in each of those four games, but you don't care about wins or losses; you care about how your players do.
This week, Harvin owners will see the receiver have a huge game against one of the worst teams in defending receivers: the New Orleans Saints. This year, the Saints have given up 285 yards per game and 20 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers.
You can expect Harvin to have eight to 10 catches, 135 yards and two touchdowns this week against the Saints.
New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees
3 of 5Drew Brees is a fantasy starter every week. However, this week, he will end with the best stats among quarterbacks.
The Saints play a Vikings team that ranks near the bottom of the NFL in passing defense. They sit at 26th in total yards allowed with 3,234 yards, allowing quarterbacks throw for 249 yards per game. However, the stat that makes Brees such a great player this week is that Minnesota ranks dead last in touchdowns allowed this year with 26.
Brees will have a huge game against the Vikings, where he throws for 350-plus yards with three touchdowns.
Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow
4 of 5Tim Tebow has been either great or awful for fantasy owners this year. This week, Tebow goes against the worst passing defense in the NFL, the New England Patriots.
The Patriots rank last in total yards allowed with 4,013, last in yards per game with 309 and near the bottom in touchdowns allowed with 21. Tebow has shown more of a dedication to passing the ball in recent games, finishing with passing yards of 202 and 236.
Tebow will have will have his first 300 yard passing game this year, with three touchdowns and another 50 rushing yards against the Patriots.
Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells
5 of 5Beanie Wells has probably lost you a game at least once this season. You probably started him with the expectations of a huge game, only to see him rush for 27 yards on 15 carries.
This week, you have to start Wells vs. the Cleveland Browns. He will have a big game against one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL.
The Browns have let opposing running backs rush for 151 yards per game while giving up a total of 1,962 rushing yards.
The last time Wells went against one of the worst rushing defenses in the St. Louis Rams, he went off for 228 yards and one touchdown. Wells will not have 228 rushing yards against the Browns, but he will have 160 rushing yards and one touchdown.
