David Beckham: How Footballer Could Appear on Silver Screen with Tom Cruise

Richard LangfordDec 14, 2011

Tom Cruise's latest "Mission Impossible" is to turn David Beckham into a movie star.

Cruise took time to fill in the public of his intentions while attending the premier of the newest Mission Impossible installment, which he just finished filming.

Ashleigh Rainbird of the Daily Mirror quoted Cruise as saying, "I'd love to do action movies with Beckham. He would be great, he could kick ass."

Tom has been kicking ass in movies for years. However, he has grown frustrated that he has never been able to bend it like Beckham. Actually, I can't be certain that is true, but what I can be certain of is if Beckham were to kick someone in the ass, it would hurt.

It would certainly have more force than a kick from Cruise. For one thing, in order for the vertically-challenged Cruise to kick a person of average height in the rear, he has to employ a jump kick technique similar to the famous Karate Kid Crane kick.

For Beckham, it would amount to little more than kicking a soccer ball. There is more to this than kicking ass, though.

While Cruise talks about the part being in an action movie, I am convinced that Cruise really envisions something more like this.

A glimpse into Cruise's thoughts would likely reveal, "Man, I have got to get Beckham shirtless and in jeans on the beach volleyball court! Me and Becks, spiking and looking awesome...Oscar! Becks can be my wingman anytime."
