Will Things Be Resolved with TNA Wrestling's Final Resolution?
Usually, the end of the year means the resolution of things in the wrestling world.
In TNA, it may be just starting to heat up.
So much has been made this year about how TNA has handled storylines, angles and injuries, not to mention its roster. Things looked to be out of hand, going nowhere. And somewhere around the middle of the year, the turn was made.
When it looked like TNA creative got its head out of its ass and made the decision to promote originals and younger talent, the door swung wide open for hope.
Here is hoping Final Resolution continues toward that path.
With three major matches including title challenges and possibly great feuds moving forward, the final pay-per-view event of the year must provide steam for a hot January.
The fact that James Storm and Kurt Angle may steal the show tonight speaks to the talent in his pay-per-view. I am not sold on Bobby Roode as the world title holder, and I'm even thinking he may have regressed once he was given the strap. That could be a symptom of Storm's concussion and Angle's injury following Bound for Glory.
Now, we as fans need to see progression.
We need to see hope, the kind that makes us want to tune in every week on Thursday to find joy in the product, not find fault in it.
While other angles involving Roode, AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Jeff Hardy, and the tag team situation with Mat Morgan/Crimson, Devon and The Pope hold our interest, we want to see the growth and development of Storm and Roode as singles champions and opponents. That will come from an arc at some point. That will be the cherry on top. That will keep fans in the seats.
Nothing else can compare right now.
So when Final Resolution ends tonight, don't expect much change. Titles may not change hands. Rivalries may not resolve anything. But at least the foundation is being laid for a great many things to come.
