UFC 140 Fight Card: 5 Things You Definitely Will Not See Tonight

Matt SaccaroDec 10, 2011

Some fight cards have things that we never see in other cards.

UFC 140 is one such card where, due to the certain circumstances and fighters, there are a few things that fans and pundits alike definitely will not see during the event, or when the dust settles afterward.

So what will we not be seeing in the next few hours?  Read and find out!

A Lot of Fights on Facebook

1 of 5

Unfortunately, the Facebook preliminaries are only three fights, as opposed to almost twice as many on average.

The rest of the preliminary bouts will be on the small ION network.  So if you don't have it, you're out of luck.

Dennis Hallman Keeps His Job If He Loses

2 of 5

Dennis Hallman had one strike on him when he came to the octagon in his infamously risque shorts.

Strike two came at the weigh-in when he missed the 156-pound limit by two-and-a-half pounds and wouldn't even try to make weight a second time.

If he loses to Canadian striker John Makdessi, it will be strike three and he'll be booted from the UFC, likely for good.

Mark Hominick and Chang Sung Jung Put on a Boring Fight

3 of 5

Mark Hominick and "The Korean Zombie," Chan Sung Jung, are two of the most exciting fighters in the UFC.

Jung is famous for his two epic fights with Leonard Garcia, and Hominick rose to prominence when he nearly finished Jose Aldo in the last round of their featherweight title fight, despite coming out empty-handed.

The styles of both these fighters should make for a fight that's an instant classic, well worth the pay-per-view price tag.

Little Nog Return to the Win Column

4 of 5

Antonio Rogerio Nogueria, a.k.a. Little Nog, has struggled in the UFC, specifically against wrestlers like Phil Davis and Ryan Bader, and even against average wrestlers like Jason Brilz.

Tito Ortiz's wrestling, as well as his famously underrated Brazilian jiu-jitsu, will smother Littlel Nog and Ortiz will pick up a decision victory.

Lyoto Machida Triumphant

5 of 5

Lyoto Machida's "elusive" Shotokan Karate and eclectic sumo wrestling won't be able to stop Jon Jones' wrestling, unorthodox striking, massive reach advantage and overall athleticism.

A full breakdown as to why has already been written, so I won't repeat myself.

Of all the things we won't see tonight, a victorious Machida is the most certain.
