What's At Stake?

The Raiders, who desperately need a win to stay alive in the AFC West playoff race, will challenge the Packers' journey to an undefeated record.

Green Bay is almost a lock to earn the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the postseason, so there is no urgency to win here besides the pursuit of perfection.

There are currently five teams in the AFC with 7-5 records, but Denver would get the nod in the division right now to make the playoffs and Cincinnati would steal the wild card, so Oakland cannot afford to continue losing.

Expect them to give the Pack their best effort on Sunday.

Raiders' Injury Report

RB Darren McFadden – DBT (Foot) – No surprise here yet again as McFadden has missed the past five games with this injury. Michael Bush has played stellar in his absence and should continue to do so.

WR Jacoby Ford – DBT (Foot) – Ford was supposed to practice today if he was cleared but did not suit up. This is an obvious setback and his status should be monitored leading up to the game.

Packers' Injury Report

CB Charles Woodson – QST (Concussion) – Woodson was practicing today so his concussion must have been minor. He should be a starter on Sunday.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit' Em and Sleeper

Start ‘Em: Aaron Rodgers

If you have this QB, you would be insane not to start him unless it was his bye week.

By far one of the best in the game right now, you can always count on Rodgers to put up consistent and big fantasy numbers.

Sit ‘Em: Michael Bush

If you have better options, Bush has an awful matchup this week and could be benched.

The Raiders will need to throw the ball often to stay in this game and have a chance to beat the high-powered Packers.

Sleeper: Denarius Moore

If Moore suits up for practice this week, he could have a stellar game against a Packers secondary that is constantly challenged by opposing QBs.

By sheer volume of passes thrown his way, you can expect him to convert a few of them into catches and a score or two.

What They're Saying

Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle notes that punter Shane Lechler is one of the Raiders' most valuable weapons and leaders.

"

"He's been in here when it's been really good, he's been here when it's been really bad," coach Hue Jackson said. "I've had so many personal conversations with him. I lean on him for so many different things. The guy is a huge part of this team, not just because he kicks, but because of what he's been through here."

"

Pete Dougherty at the Green Bay Press-Gazette wonders if the Packers will be able to succeed at Lambeau during the playoffs.

"

“These Packers also appear headed for the NFC’s best record, which means they’ll have to win two playoff games at Lambeau Field to get to the Super Bowl. Their No. 29 ranking in rushing yards and yards per rush brings into question whether a bad-weather day could blow up their offense and wreck a spectacular season.”

"

Let’s see if they work on that aspect of their game on Sunday.

Raiders Player to Watch: Carson Palmer

Palmer has been playing well in recent weeks, but the Raiders paid at least a first-round draft choice in 2012 and a second-rounder in 2013 to get him.

He needs to be stellar to live up to that cost, so let’s see how he does against a Packers secondary that is susceptible to being burned by passes but also great at forcing turnovers.

Packers Player to Watch: Ryan Grant

If the Packers want to succeed in the playoffs they need to get their RBs involved.

Grant should see most if not all of the work on Sunday if James Starks isn’t cleared to play.

Key Matchup: Packers' passing game vs. Raiders' secondary.

Can the Raiders stop Aaron Rodgers and his receiving corps? If they cannot, they have absolutely no chance of winning.

It will be interesting to see what kind of schemes Oakland will come up with to prevent the big play, but I don’t think they can do it.
