Los Angeles Galaxy: Ins and Outs, December 7, 2011
Marcelo Sarvas to the G’s
Apparently Bruce Arena’s Los Angeles Galaxy are not going to wait for David Beckham to make his decision as to whether or not he will be leaving the club for Paris Saint-Germain of Ligue 1. The Galaxy have signed a two-year deal with Marcelo Sarvas Fazzio of L.D. Alajuelense, according to Goal.com.
Sarvas, 30, is a journeyman with years of European experience, having played for clubs like Karlskrona AIF, Kristianstads FF, Mjalby AIF, Bunkeflo IF and Polonia Warszawa before surfacing with La Liga.

The Brazilian has been instrumental in Alajuelense’s efforts the past few seasons, helping La Liga win the Primera Division crown in 2011 while recently winning the Torneo Invierno. His ability to create plays in the midfield will be crucial to LA’s chances in the CONCACAF Champions League and the 2012 Major League Soccer season.
Impressive performance for Victory, says Beckham
As for Beckham, he was impressed by the performance of the Melbourne Victory in LA’s 4-3 penalty shootout win on Tuesday (the match was a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation).
"I think the first 25 minutes we were poor. I think our legs were still in Philippines. We got ourselves back into the games and Robbie (Keane) got us back into the game with two penalties which was good," Beckham told Bren O’Brien of Sportal. "We are happy to end the tour like this."
“All in all, I think they are a very good team, they've got some talented players and that causes problems."
Arena was also impressed by Victory’s efforts against the Galaxy.
"The game was fun for people watching. Coaches...maybe not so happy, but that's okay, it's an exhibition and it’s supposed to be like that," Arena said on Tuesday.
