BCS Bowl Projections: Rose Bowl Will Be Most Exciting BCS Game by Far
For those of you sitting around worried about how "boring" an LSU-Alabama rematch for the National Championship might be, have no fear.
The Rose Bowl will more than make up for the title game's lack of scoring. And it certainly won't have that stupid defense that tends to get in the way.
Let's start out with Pac-12 champion, Oregon.
The Ducks are third in the nation in scoring with 45.3 points per game. They average an insane 6.3 yards per carry, good enough for No. 1 in the country. They average over 501 total yards per game.
Running back LaMichael James is one of the most exciting players in the nation, as he has run for 1,646 yards and 17 touchdowns.
His backups aren't too shabby either, as Kenjon Barner and De'Anthony Thomas have more than filled in for James while he was injured.
While Oregon is pretty much impossible to stop on the ground, Wisconsin is all-around dangerous on the offensive end.
The Badgers average 5.4 yards per carry, 235 rushing yards per game, 9.6 yards per pass attempt and quarterback Russell Wilson completes 70 percent of his passes.
All of those are Top 10 in the nation.
Montee Ball has 1,759 rushing yards and, wait for it, 32 rushing touchdowns. There's easily three players who will be on the field during this game who are legitimate Heisman candidates.
If you're worried about defense getting in the way, don't be.
Oregon just gave up 31 points to UCLA. Yeah, UCLA.
Wisconsin, on the other hand, gives up a stout 17.6 points per game, but that's in the slow-it-down Big 10. It gave up 39 points to Michigan State, so this is obviously a susceptible defense.
For those of you who like offense, get ready. I see this one ending up 41-38 or something like that.
Whatever does happen, a missed field goal won't kill anyone. Take note, SEC.
