Bowl Projections: 5 Dream Matchups We'd Really Like to See but Won't
The bowl matchups are nearly upon us and there will be a huge a matchups that we wished we could end up seeing but will admit that there is zero chance of occurring.
Regardless of the conference there are a few dream BCS matchups that we should all dream of seeing.
Sure, some fans have different dreams than others, but the following are my five dream matchups we wish we could see but won't.
Alabama vs. Oklahoma State (Sugar, Fiesta or BCS Title)
1 of 5Oklahoma State's high-octane offense against the Crimson Tide's ferocious defense would be a treat. Mike Gundy already stated that he could score some point on LSU's defense, but I wonder if his mouth would get him into trouble once Saban and the boys pinned their ears back.
I have wanted Alabama against Oklahoma State since October, but LSU kept on winning and there was no chance once the Crimson Tide were upset at home by the Tigers.
The Bayou Bengals ruined my chances of seeing not just seeing one matchup, but a few more as well.
LSU vs. Michigan (Sugar Bowl)
2 of 5Had LSU blown a game or two this season, perhaps we could have seen Les Miles go up against his alma-mater in Michigan.
The Wolverines has quite the offensive explosion thanks to Denard Robinson and he would likely be running for his life against the staggering LSU defense.
Boise State vs. Oregon (Rose, Fiesta or Sugar Bowl)
3 of 5The Ducks and Broncos have paired up a few times in the past during the regular season (Broncos won both meetings) and they were sensational matchups.
Boise State has been able to obliterate teams ground games when they are given ample time to prepare and LaMichael James, DeAnthony Thomas, Kenjon Barner, Darron Thomas and company would give the Broncos nightmares this time around.
However, I am not sure the Ducks could hold the Smurfs under 30 points and we could argue the first one to score 40 wins this "in your dreams" game.
Wisconsin vs. Michigan (BCS Title)
4 of 5Hey if the SEC is going to do it, can't the Big Ten do it too? ;-)
Call me crazy, but I really want to see these two teams play each other. Mainly I have the urge because they never played during the regular season, but the Wolverines are improved against the run and they also have the offensive ability to keep up with Sconny.
Russell Wilson, Denard Robinsond, Fitzgerald Toussaint, Montee Ball are stud but both receiving corps are vastly underrated due to the fact the two offenses are run-based.
Stanford or Boise State vs. LSU (BCS Title, Fiesta or Sugar)
5 of 5The Bayou Bengals defense is something extremely special because of how much depth. They get stronger as the game goes on and they just tee off on the weak.
If you get tired then you better keep your head in a swivel or else they may take you out for good. Andrew Luck and Kellen Moore going up against the Tigers defense would be tasty treat to witness in January.
Could the Cardinal or Broncos keep up with the mighty, or would they get embarrassed?
In a perfect dream come true world, Luck and Moore against an SEC team is something the nation has wanted for years (save Moore against UGA).
