Georgia vs. LSU Video: Watch Epic Halftime Clash in Dr. Pepper Scholarship Toss

There was a fine display of passing before the second half started in the SEC championship game.

It occurred during the halftime festivities. Dr. Pepper was kind enough to put its advertising dollars to good use in the SEC championship game.

The soft drink company set up a contest to have two female participants compete by throwing footballs into an opening of a giant inflatable can 10 yards away. The winner got $100,000 to use for tuition.

Ivon Padilla Rodriguez from UNLV was lucky enough to win.

This was not just a win for her, but a win for football. Her competitor was attempting to shake the very nature of the forward pass by throwing two-handed chest passes at the Dr. Pepper can!

Footballs are not meant to be thrown two handed! This isn't basketball for crying out loud. I do have to give her credit for being accurate though. She kept the competition close.

In fact, she put on the third-most accurate display of passing the field had seen all day—behind the contest winner and Georgia QB Aaron Murray.

That would put her one spot ahead of LSU QB Jordan Jefferson.

Let's all just be thankful he did not participate in this contest. It would be an abomination to have the QB of the No. 1 team in the country out there losing to a person chest passing footballs through the hole.

After watching Jefferson go 2-for-8 with seven yards, I am guessing Jefferson would have made four throws through the hole. It would not have been the can he was aiming at, but at least it would mean the throws had the right elevation.

Jefferson has time to turn it around. There is still a half left of football. Maybe he should come out and try the two-handed chest pass.
