SEC Championship: Isaiah Crowell's Return Won't Save Georgia from LSU's Wrath
Trent Richardson couldn't spare Alabama from LSU's reign of terror, and Isaiah Crowell's return won't lift Georgia over the Tigers in the SEC championship.
Georgia fans should be more optimistic about his playing status than their team's chances in this game.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Contitution, Crowell is still a game-time decision.
Crowell is a great talent, and he's got the ability to take over a game. He's rushed for over 100 yards four times already this season, but LSU's stingy defense isn't going to let him break loose.
Like Arkansas, Georgia is only going to be hang on for so long. LSU has a knack for blowing a team's wheels off at some point.
Alabama is the only team who competed with them for all four quarters, and they happen to have the best defense and running back in the nation.
Crowell is not Trent Richardson, and Georgia's defense doesn't measure up to LSU's. Essentially, the Bulldogs are built like Alabama; they're just a weaker version.
They can't beat the Tigers whether or not they have Crowell, and there's no shame in that. They made it to the SEC championship after starting out in an 0-2 and being written off by virtually everyone.
Georgia will represent the SEC well during bowl season, but the SEC championship isn't where they're going to showcase just how good they are, regardless of the status of their star running back.
