NBA Trade Rumors: 5 Names Who Will Continue to Dominate Headlines and Rumors

Matt ShetlerNov 30, 2011

With training camp and free agency jammed into a two-week period, you are sure to hear rumors surrounding many big-name free agents and possible trades.

There will be many players available in the next couple of weeks, but the top-tier players will dominate the headlines.

Let's take a look at those five guys:

Chris Paul

Paul's future will be talked about all season, similar to LeBron James in his final season in Cleveland. Until Paul ends up traded or winds up with the Knicks in 2012, his future will continue to dominate the headlines.

Howard's situation is identical to that of Paul's. He's one of the NBA's biggest stars and whether or not he ends up in Los Angeles, New Jersey or someplace else, you will continue to hear about it daily.

Danny Ainge played his hand and now the world knows he is shopping Rondo for the right price. Rondo has become a guy that wasn't on the block at all to a guy that will be followed closely on a daily basis.

Nene

In a less-than-spectacular free-agent class, could Nene be the best of the group? With likely no max-contract guys out there, the future of Nene and Tyson Chandler will dominate free-agent rumors until they sign.

Brandon Roy

If Roy becomes an amnesty-clause casualty as expected, I would expect to hear his name a lot until he finds a new team. Roy is still a major talent, despite the recent injuries, and where he ends up will be a big story to follow.
