Don't Feel Bad, Terrell Owens—Tony Romo Missed My Birthday Party Too!
Last Monday, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens celebrated his 35th birthday party to raise money for his foundation, Catch A Dream. The event took place at Gaylord Texan’s Glass Cactus Nightclub.
Celebrities and teammates made appearances in support of T.O. and his foundation. Drew Rosenhaus made an appearance but wouldn't answer any questions. Even head coach Wade Phillips made an appearance at the event.
Even though most of his teammates showed up for his support, there were two particular members of the Cowboys that the media realized were not at the event.

Tony Romo and Jason Witten were both missing in action Monday to help celebrate Owens' 35th birthday.
Many members of the media suggested that the absence of Romo and Witten had something to do with the differences among the three teammates that have escalated the last couple of weeks.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that Owens was upset with the relationship between Romo and Witten. He claimed that they had secret meetings to come up with "special plays" for the two of them to work on together.
Over the last couple of weeks, there seems to be a new story about these three guys. Did Romo and Witten really skip out on the event to rest up their injuries? It seems like a legitimate excuse.
Is that the way the media is going to see it? Of course not. They will relate it to the conflict stories these three have had over the last couple of weeks.
Terrell Owens, I understand how you may be upset that your friend Tony Romo didn't show up to celebrate your birthday party. We know how much his friendship means to you after you cried during your press conference to defend him.
If it makes you feel better, I have invited Romo to my birthday party the last three years. In fact, I have invited many athletes to attend my birthday parties over the last couple of years. LeBron James always makes me believe he is coming but then never shows up.
I understand, you have a different relationship with Romo. You have actually met the guy. You play on the same field every Sunday together. Does the fact that I'm just a 22-year-old college student that Romo has never even heard of in his life make a difference? Probably.
All I'm trying to say is don't be so hard on yourself since Romo skipped out on your birthday party. For the last three years, I have been upset every time Romo turns down my invite. He and Jessica seem like a great couple to hang out with--not to mention I was hoping he would bring Carrie Underwood the first time I invited him.
When Romo didn't show up for three of my birthday parties, I could have made a big deal about it. But I didn't. Instead, I enjoyed my birthday with my friends who actually made the effort to be there for my celebration.
I understand you are upset about Romo not showing up for your birthday party. Next week, Romo will be in town again to play my Philadelphia Eagles. A few weeks ago, I sent him an invitation to attend my family Christmas party. Will he make an appearance this time around? I doubt it.
I'm just glad I'm not the only person in this world to have Tony Romo blow off their birthday party!
