Green Bay Packers: How To Beat Aaron Rodgers and the Defending Super Bowl Champs
Well, here goes that talk again. The talk of a possible undefeated season for the Green Bay Packers.
The Pack is now 10-0 after a 35-26 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The win might not be the biggest news in this one seeing as how Aaron Rodgers actually threw an interception.
Still, he managed to throw three touchdown passes, burning the Bucs for 299 yards and completing 67 percent of his passes. The man is simply unstoppable.
The Packers' defense still had a decent game, but it's certainly lucky it has the best quarterback in football on its team.
So where do teams go from here? How can Green Bay be stopped?
Like this.
Throw the Ball
1 of 3The Packers' run defense might be solid, but it's the complete opposite when they have to stop the ball through the air.
Green Bay is ranked 31st in the NFL and in case you didn't believe it, just watch the highlights of Josh Freeman having his best game of the season, throwing for 342 yards and two touchdowns.
It's a huge weakness in the Packers, but something they normally overcome on a weekly basis.
It's tough to say you want to try and outscore Aaron Rodgers, but throwing the ball down the field might be a good bet.
Matthew Stafford just threw for five touchdowns in Week 11 and should have success throwing the ball against Green Bay in their Week 12 matchup.
There is no debating that the Lions can throw the ball and might be a challenge for the Packers.
Beware Randall Cobb
2 of 3This little guy can run.
Randall Cobb can be a game-changer in the blink of an eye. He's proven time and time again that he can return the ball and do it well.
Cobb ripped off a 55-yard punt return off the Bucs in Week 11. He has the ability to shorten the field for his offense, leaving Aaron Rodgers a shorter field and an even easier time scoring points.
If that's even possible.
Bottom line: Don't make it any easier for Green Bay than it already is by letting Cobb break one.
Hope Aaron Rodgers' Alarm Clock Doesn't Go Off
3 of 3I can't honestly sit here and say Aaron Rodgers will definitely have a bad game anytime soon. By comparison, the game he had in Week 11 was a bad game for him, but a Pro Bowl-worthy type game for any other quarterback.
So that means he might come back next week better, and without a doubt more unbeatable than the week before.
He's playing as good as any quarterback has ever played in any stretch of games in NFL history.
The best bet for the Detroit Lions in Week 12? I'd say go cut the power in Rodgers' house and hope he doesn't wake up in time for the game.
That might be the only way to stop him.
