Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Through Week 10, both the Jaguars and Browns are ranked in the top five in the NFL in total defense. Jacksonville has an edge in rushing yards allowed per game, but overall, both defenses are pretty evenly matched.
Not many people would have ever predicted that these two teams would have such good defenses this season. They have both played at a high level all year and that will not change when they face each other.
Expect a lot of big defensive plays throughout the duration of the game. For fans that enjoy watching tough defensive matchups, this game is a must see.
Weak Offenses
The Browns and Jaguars are the 31st- and 32nd-ranked offenses in the NFL, respectively.
Those rankings will not be improving this week as the defenses clearly outshine the offenses of both teams. When a strong defense faces a weak offense, the results are almost always in favor of the defense. Sunday's game will be dominated by defense because two inept offenses will be playing against two stellar defenses.
Young Quarterbacks
Both teams have young quarterbacks struggling to get the ball in the end zone due to both a lack of experience and a lack of playmakers at the wide receiver position. While Browns QB Colt McCoy has more experience than Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert, he is playing in a totally new offense this season.
It might as well be McCoy's rookie season just as it is Gabbert's.
However, McCoy gets the edge as the better quarterback. What little advantage that affords the Browns is negated by the presence of Maurice Jones-Drew on the Jaguars. Jones-Drew is light years better than the current state of the Browns backfield.
Expect to see Jacksonville lean heavily on their run game and Cleveland to open up the passing game as much as they can. That is not really saying much for either team's offense though. This game will most likely come down to the kicking game once again for both teams.
