Bernie Fine Investigation Video: Alleged Victims Tell Sordid Tale to ESPN
An awful tale was told to ESPN's Outside the Lines in 2003. On Thursday, they finally ran with it.
The story that is quickly becoming a firestorm at Syracuse describes two former ball boys as victims of a coach they trusted.
In 2003, Bobby Davis told police that he had been molested by assistant Syracuse coach Bernie Fine. The allegations were said to have taken place when Davis was a ball boy with the team in the 80s.

Detectives never investigated because they said the statute of limitations had run their course. ESPN stayed clear of running the story as they had no other witnesses or alleged victim to corroborate the story.
The report can be read at ESPN. What has changed in nearly 10 years is that another alleged victim has come forward.
Davis' step-brother Mike Lang is now willing to come forward and talk about his claims that Fine had molested him just like he had with Davis.
What we have here is the story that Outside the Lines avoided in 2003 but simply can't do in 2011. Many will draw comparisons with the sordid scandal that has rocked Penn State as Jerry Sandusky stands accused of multiple counts of sexual abuse.
It is important to remember that the investigation is in its very early stages in regards to Fine and he has not been charged with a crime.
The school for their part has placed Fine on administrative leave. The video shows two men that find retelling the past quite difficult.
