Kansas State vs. Texas: Latest Spread Info, BCS Impact and Predictions
The Kansas State Wildcats have suffered back-to-back Big 12 losses, but they can make up for that with a big-time win over the Texas Longhorns.
There was a time when the Wildcats were considered one of the best teams in the nation and perhaps a contender in the Big 12. Losses to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have really hindered their vision of grandeur, though.
The Longhorns have fought through a tough season and have found themselves at 6-3, but 3-3 in the Big 12.
It's been somewhat of a disappointing season, especially in conference, but a lot of that can be fixed with a win over Kansas State.
Where: Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, Austin, TX
When: Saturday Nov. 19. 8 p.m. EST
Watch: FX
Spread: Texas -9.5
This is obviously the home field.
Over/Under: 55.5
I think Texas is going to want to focus on running the ball, so I'd suggest staying under.

Key Injuries:
Kansas State: Defensive back Tysyn Hartman questionable (leg), wide receiver Tyler Lockett out for season (kidney), wide receiver Brodrick Smith out indefinitely (undisclosed).
Texas: Wide receiver Jaxon Shipley questionable (knee), offensive lineman Sedrick Flowers questionable (shoulder), running back Joe Bergeron questionable (hamstring), linebacker Keenan Robinson questionable (thumb), running back Malcolm Brown questionable (toe), running back Foswhitt Whittaker out for season (knee).
BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications:
Both teams are ranked, but No. 23 Texas can gain the most by beating No. 13 Kansas State.
Keys to Kansas State Win:
Quarterback Collin Klein is the leading passer and rusher for the team, and he's going to have to play a huge role if the Wildcats want to win at Texas.
He's much more of a threat on the ground, though, and the Wildcats are going to have to seriously lean on the running game if they want to win.
Keys to Texas Win:
With both Malcolm Brown and Joe Bergeron questionable and banged up coming into this game, a ton of the offensive responsibility is going to fall on the shoulder of quarterback crew.
Freshman David Ash has been the guy as of late, but with only three touchdowns and six interceptions, he really needs to step his game up if his team wants to win this game.
Prediction:
The potential lack of running game is going to kill the Longhorns, even at home.
