Manny Pacquiao: Floyd Mayweather Will Capitalize on Less Than Stellar Bout
Manny Pacquiao may be the undisputed champion right now, but I can think of at least one person who wouldn't mind disputing that, and that's Floyd Mayweather.
I can all but guarantee you that Mayweather is going to eventually run his mouth in regards to Pacquiao's latest fight with Juan Manuel Marquez.
The bout went the distance, for the third time, and Pacquiao came away with yet another controversial decision.
Granted, there were moments in the fight were Pacquiao looked incredible. His quickness is undeniable, and his football is honestly the best i've ever seen.
There were times he'd go in with the left hook, and by the time Marquez came back with the counter punch Pacquiao had already cut to his right with a beautiful sidestep and evaded it.
This wasn't any sidestep though, it was a hard cut that would have made most NFL running backs jealous.
As far as technical skills, speed, and overall aggression, it's hard to doubt the fact that Pacquiao had the edge, but there was something about Marquez that kept him in the bout.
Marquez is a counter-punch defensive fighter by trade, so every time Pac-Man got a solid blow on him, Marquez was able to come back with an equal, if not better punch.
Some of the most memorable hits from that fight came from the right hand of Marquez, and that's why many feel that he could have won the decision.
In fact, there are many people that feel he should have.
I have no doubt that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is one of those people, and he so happens to have plenty of reason to think so.
Mayweather is a notorious Pacquiao basher, and now Pac-Man has just added more fuel to the fire.
Pacquiao wanted to knock Marquez out, and he made those intentions very clear before the bout.
The fact that he couldn't, and the fact that the third instillation of their fight could have gone either way has got to be a disappointment for the fighter.
The simple truth is that he has left himself open for interpretation.
Many people don't think he deserved to win that fight, and frankly that can be disputed either way.
Like I said, there is one person who is sure to capitalize on the less than stellar fight, so don't be surprised to hear Mayweather sound off on this sooner rather than later.
