Pacquiao vs. Marquez III: Why Marquez Has No Chance vs. Pac-Man
Manny Pacquiao will finally dismantle Juan Manuel Marquez.
The wait is over. Shortly, Pacquiao will lay his right hand on Marquez’s face for the final the time.
Pac-Man has unprecedented hand speed inside the squared circle. It doesn’t matter how strong Marquez’s barrier is or how much muscle he added in preparation for this contest.
Pac-Man will come out swinging like a man possessed and connect with more shots than Marquez and his corner ever envisioned.
Pacquiao has an extraordinary amount of pent-up aggression that he will be looking to release on Marquez’s face. Between Marquez claiming to have defeated Pac-Man twice—despite still with a zero in the win column—and Floyd Mayweather running his mouth, Pacquiao is stepping into the ring to prove he is still the hand down, unquestioned, without a shadow of a doubt best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
Pacquiao has often been criticized for his laid back nature, goodie-goodie image and singing ventures, but he will prove once again that he is the baddest man in the world when those gloves drape over his hands.
In fact, they aren’t just hands—they’re lightweight stones that Manny tosses around.
The 38-year-old Marquez will prove to be too slow against Pacquiao and his added bulk won’t help him pick up speed either.
Marquez is in the twilight of his career still looking to make a name for himself. That may make him dangerous, many forget but Pacquiao already has the track record to be called the most dangerous man in the ring.
Marquez may have eluded Pac-Man’s knockout punch, but Pac-Man is still the man with the absurd record Marquez could only dream of.
Most importantly, Pacquiao is gearing up for the "Fight of the Century" with Mayweather. Mayweather has been running his mouth about a May 5th fight and Pacquiao even went on Jimmy Kimmel Live saying that he’d be willing to fight “Money” in a winner-take-all match.
Pac-Man is clearly confident and the only way to send a direct message is to dissect the opponents placed before him.
Pacquiao and his promoter, Bob Arum, both know they will lose all leverage in negotiations with Mayweather if Pacquiao doesn’t win this fight. Pac-Man cleary isn’t just concerned with Marquez on November 12, but with Mayweather and the rest of the sports world beyond Saturday night.
