Oregon vs. Stanford: Last Minute Spread Info, Line, BCS Impact and Predictions
No. 4 Stanford will be impossible to discount if they are able to take down the No. 7 Oregon Ducks this week. Andrew Luck and undefeated Stanford have their biggest test of the season lying in front of them, and a win will bring them one step closer to the national championship.
Stanford doesn't control their own destiny, and they're going to need some help from the rest of the BCS contenders in order to launch themselves into the No. 2 spot, but a loss against the Ducks would knock them out of contention entirely.
Luck is on the fast track for the Heisman, and the Cardinal are surging, but Oregon has only one loss on the season, which happened to come at the hands of No. 1 LSU.
Let's take a closer look to see who will win this showdown between Pac-12 juggernauts.
Where: Stanford Stadium, Stanford, CA
When: Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET
Watch: ABC
Spread: Stanford -3 1/2 (via Bodog)
Go with Stanford. So many points are going to scored in this game that it would be foolish to pick Oregon and the points with such a narrow spread if you don't think they are going to win outright.
If you like what the Ducks bring to the table and/or aren't fond of money, betting Oregon on the moneyline is the only way to go.
Over/Under: 68
Take the over. This is the sort of over that makes you take a step backwards, but this game features two top-five offenses, both of which score over 45 points a game.
Stanford's lowest point total of the season is 37. Oregon's is 34. With both teams battling it out in a classic shootout, scoring upwards of 40 apiece is inevitable.

BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications:
This game is huge for both teams. Not only is a spot in the Pac-12 Championship on the line, Stanford is vying for a spot in the national championship, and Oregon could realistically finish in the Top Five if they were able to pull off a victory in this game.
A loss for either team is going to be devastating. Oregon has worked the entire season to shake the LSU loss, and the BCS title game is so close for Stanford they can almost taste it.
Keys to Oregon Win:
Get the ball in LaMichael James' hands. This is going to be an offensive shootout, and the Ducks have a huge advantage as far as team speed is concerned. At the forefront of their offense is home-run hitter James, who is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.
Darron Thomas has gotten progressively worse as the season has gone on, throwing five picks in his last four games, compared to one in his first four.
The Ducks need to put the ball in the hands of their playmaker and let him take over the game, as he did in the three games that he accumulated over 200 yards on the ground.
Keys to Stanford Win:
Let Andrew Luck go out and win a Heisman. Stanford has the best quarterback in the entire nation, and just like he did against USC, he's got to be the sort of leader that allows them to pull off a victory in the clutch.
Luck has thrown a pick in four of his last five games, but his absurd 26 touchdowns point to just how dominant he has been this season. He's the Heisman front-runner, a national championship is within his grasp and Stanford won't shy away from letting the unquestioned leader put his team on his back.
Prediction
Stanford 44, Oregon 38
