Bute vs. Johnson: Time, Undercard and PPV Info
Lucian Bute is set to take on Glen Johnson in a rumble with very friendly undertones. Saturday, November 5th, two friends will battle over Bute's IBF super middleweight title.
If you want a precursor to the amazing fight that takes place a week from now, this will have to do. The thought of Manny Pacquiao fighting his nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez will no doubt be in the air.
This main fight will be the exact opposite. Bute and Johnson are friends outside the ring and are ongoing sparring partners within it.
They have promised to keep the hugging and long looks into each other's eyes to a minimum. Let's drop it like it's hot in this preview of Saturday's bout.
Where: Quebec City, Canada

Undercards
Rances Barthelemy (13-0, 10 KOs) vs. Luis Ernesto Jose (30-8-2, 25 KOs), 8 or 10 rds, junior lightweights
This is a bout between one guy who has fought no one, against another who chooses to fight scrubs. Rances Barthelemy continues to improve his form after defecting from Cuba. He is building an impressive record along the way. Jose will be his first real test.
For Jose, he will have issues just staying upright as he has a propensity to have his legs go from under him. This has all the signs of being a very ugly match.
Sebastien Demers (31-4, 11 KOs) vs. Allan Green (30-3, 21 KOs) , 10 rds, super middleweights
Demers knows how it feels to be knocked around something fierce. A renewed sense of defense will be infused as he battles a much-tested Allan Green. Green has fought far better fighters in Andre Ward. We will see if he has learned a thing or two.
Pier-Olivier Côté (17-0, 11 KOs) vs. Jorge Luis Teron(25-2-1, 17 KOs), 12 rds, jr. welterweights
Cote still has a ways to go before he proves to be he is worthy of sharing a main card. The two men do share something special, as they have both beat Michael Lozada. For me, Cote shows more promise as he continues to fight better fighters on his way up the ladder.
Main Card
Lucian Bute (29-0, 24 KOs) vs. Glen Johnson (51-15-2, 35 KOs), IBF super middleweight title
Sparring partners come together in the biggest bout of the weekend. The two will no doubt put the friendship away as soon as the gloves are put on.
Johnson is hopeful to put a belt on his lone, and many times tumultuous, career. He will hardly care that it come at the hands of Bute.
For Bute, he will be looking to end this fight as quickly as possible as he tries to move his name to the top of the table in potential bouts ahead. I can hardly see how a Bute vs. Ward bout can be denied with a dominating win on Saturday.
Prediction: Bute in late round knockout
