BCS Rankings 2011: The Pac-12 Gets No Respect
Does anyone else think the Terminator prophecies (yeah, I said it, prophecies) will come true? I was shaky after the first film, filled with hope after the second, resigned to my fate after the third and buying duct tape and Twinkies after the fourth.
If you need any more evidence of impending doom, you don’t have to wait for another prequel—just look at the BCS standings. Remember where Judgment Day began? Los Angeles, the heart of Pac-12 country.
I don’t know if the BCS is the forerunner of Skynet, but it’s doing one hell of an impression, minus the thermonuclear holocaust thing: How can it place Oregon behind Oklahoma unless it hates humanity and wants to see its demise?

Buzz on 'Top Guy' in 2027 Draft ☝️
Oregon has only lost to BCS No. 1 LSU on a neutral site, while Oklahoma lost a shoot-out to a Texas Tech squad with a losing record in the Big-12. Who else has managed 27 points on LSU this year?
Although the Pac-12 is admittedly a two-team league (Stanford being the other), that doesn’t discredit the type of year the Ducks and Cardinal are putting together. While the latter may have been stronger last year, is there anyone that doesn’t want to see Andrew Luck face either Alabama or LSU in a BCS title game?
Luck was nails at USC last week, practically willing his team to victory. The whole squad showed heart after Luck threw a pick-six in a tie game late in the fourth. The fact is, both Oregon and Stanford manhandle people at the line of scrimmage and can hold their own with any defense in the country.
While Stanford sits fourth in the BCS ranking, they can make a claim for the No. 1 or No. 2 positions as much as any other undefeated squad in the land. They can run the ball and we saw last year what one person can mean to a team (Cam Newton anyone?).
Luck had never really been tested like he was last week. I’m not saying there were individuals in the Cardinal locker room that didn’t believe in him, but he may have just entered John Connor territory.
