BCS Rankings: Arkansas and Teams Who Will Drop out of Top 10 by the Season's End

Mick AkersOct 31, 2011

With a some surprise teams currently in the BCS top 10, there are a few teams who will not make the cut at the end of the season.

Here is Arkansas and the three teams who will be out of luck when it comes to being in the top 10 at the end of the 2011 season.

Nebraska

Nebraska is currently in the top 10 at No. 10, but will see there top 10 aspirations end when they lose in three weeks to Michigan.

They also have a tough game a week before that against Penn State, and a loss in both of those could have Nebraska plummeting all the way down to the 20's rank range.

So, all the BCS title talk that has begun to swirl around Nebraska is just hot air.

South Carolina

No. 9 South Carolina will drop out the top 10, just one week after joining the elite list, when they face off with and lose to No. 7 ranked Arkansas.

In what will be Arkansas last big win, South Carolina will have another chance to jump back in the top 10 at the end of the season against Clemson, but I feel it will be to no avail.

So South Carolina fans enjoy it now, as you can kiss the top 10 goodbye after this weekend's loss.

Arkansas

Arkansas will get a big win over No. 9 South Carolina this weekend, but after that I feel two losses are in Arkansas cards.

I think after a big win over South Carolina this weekend, Arkansas will have a let down moment against Tennessee and drop to the No. 10 spot.

Then their big match up against currently No. 1 ranked LSU will knock them out of the top 10 on the season's last day.
