WWE: 8 Ways Triple H Would Be Better on SmackDown
After Triple H was brutally attacked by his former friend Kevin Nash on RAW last Monday night, it was reported the COO of the WWE would be on the shelf while he recuperates from his injuries.
What that translates to is a nice vacation from television for a few weeks while the brand builds up the idea of John Cena and The Rock team up together at Survivor Series before they beat the hell out of each other.
It also proves the WWE will stick to tried and true gimmicks to keep fans entertained.
While Triple H has been a major player of late on RAW and has been involved in SmackDown to some extent, could the time off also lead to a change in how Creative and Triple H himself decide to use his character in the future?
SmackDown is bland at best right now. The super-shows are helping to drum up ratings, but the fact is the brand needs a shakeup and fast.
It would appear right now that while Big Show and Sheamus are viable contenders for the World Title, there is not enough true talent to keep the strap on anyone other than Mark Henry.
Where is another WWE draft when you need it?
Since the "conspriacy angle" continues to be a focus of the RAW brand and the stepchild that is SmackDown does not get the "love" it needs to be a success, Triple H may be better suited for the Friday evening program.
Here are some reasons why.
8. Where Triple H Goes, so Goes the Drama
1 of 8He is a moving target all over the company and with both brands.
A little more talk and a lot more action.
Triple H would bring the soap opera to Friday nights and that increases ratings.
7. Mark Henry and Randy Orton Are Not Strong Enough to Carry the Brand
2 of 8They are both great competitors and they have their place in the company solidified by their bodies of work.
But Orton is still stiff. Henry is still one-dimensional.
Triple H is magnetic and transparent, all-in-one and great on the mic, which these two superstars are not. His addition helps the other two get over again.
6. It Means We Could See More of Vince McMahon on Both Brands
3 of 8And that is something we as fans love.
Vinnie Mac is WWE. And when there is a question about Triple H's work as COO, then you know who will be right there to make sure he knows about it.
5. We Could See Him Battle More with John Laurinaitis
4 of 8Wouldn't it be great if Triple H just turned around and hit Johnny Ace with a Kerry Von Erich-like discuss punch?
It would actually seem more like Triple H would control this brand and keep it to himself while Laurinaitis worked to figure out what was going on on Monday nights.
Again, a ratings boost.
4. It Could Lead to Triple H and Randy Orton Feuding
5 of 8And we all love that.
The Viper is still pretty good and The Game can still bring it.
We have been down this road before and loved what we saw.
Could it be that good again?
3. Could It Lead to Shawn Michaels Becoming the New GM of SmackDown?
6 of 8This one just crossed my mind, but it is a viable solution.
Maybe my friend Tom Clark would like this idea!
2. Something New Has to Happen
7 of 8RAW is so front-heavy.
SmackDown is so bleak.
Cody Rhodes could be the face of this brand, but he is feuding Randy Orton among others.
Sheamus is a viable threat to every title and Wade Barrett still needs more growth.
Triple H just makes sense.
1. It Could Mean That at Some Point We Eliminate the Branding and Have One Show
8 of 8WWE on two nights without show titles would not be bad.
The bringing together of one world champion is also not a bad idea.
Triple H's appearance on SmackDown can eventually lead to one brand, one marketing tool and more importantly, the creation of the tag-team division, Divas tag-team titles and a hardcore and cruiserweight title again.
All this brings more interest and more ratings.
