College Football's All-Offensive Team of the Past 15 Years

Brian GinnDec 9, 2008

This is an article I've set up to show what you'd have if you put the best players of the past 15 years on the same team.

I will put the starters and one backup. Of course, this is one hundred percent opinionated.  Please tell me if you agree or disagree and your list if you'd like.

QB: Tommie Frazier

Although he was not a traditional starter, Frazier took the college football world by storm and exposed the hidden weakness of every defense in college football.  A scrambling quarterback.

Despite being run-oriented, Frazier had a touchdown-interception ratio of 47/18, with over 4,000 yards.  He also rushed for over 2,000 and racked up 83 total touchdowns in his career at Nebraska. 33-3 as a starter, won three national championship MVPs.  Leader of a dynasty.

Backup: Matt Leinart

HB: Eddie George

During his career in a Buckeye uniform, George racked up over 3,700 total yards, an amazing statistic.  Eddie George went on to win the 1995 Heisman trophy award.  As a senior, he rushed for an average of over 150 yards a game.  Eddie George also went on to become a potential NFL Hall of Fame member as a Houston Oiler and Tennessee Titan.

Backup: Darren McFadden

WR: Randy Moss

Randy Moss, despite going to a small college, hit the NFL with a storm.  Randy Moss only played at Marshall for two seasons and garnered around 3,500 total yards.  Randy Moss is almost certainly already a shoo-in NFL Hall of Fame member.  He left Marshall with 53 touchdowns and a Biletnikoff award.

Backup: Calvin Johnson

OL: Orlando Pace

Well, I was thinking about putting five offensive linemen, but I'll just put one.  Seems easier.  At Ohio State he won the Lombardi award twice and went on to make a huge impact in the NFL. He did not allow one sack in his last two years at Ohio State, and he started all four.

TE: Dallas Clark

He didn't even play TE until 2001, or have a scholarship for that matter, but based on his play in 2001, the Iowa coaches gave him one.  In 2002 he won the John Mackey award.  He is now in the NFL having an outstanding career.

Backup: Kellen Winslow
