Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Detroit Lions
The Lions could really use a win against the Atlanta Falcons to solidify their place in the NFC playoff race, at least for a couple more weeks. A second straight loss would put them in a precarious position with so many teams looking to make late charges.
Jahvid Best has been ruled out because of a concussion, which means there will be even more pressure on Matthew Stafford to carry the offense. The Falcons defense has allowed nine touchdown passes, but has also made nine interceptions.
If Matt Ryan and Michael Turner can generate a balanced offensive attack, the Falcons can get their season back on track and knock Detroit down a notch in the process. In other words, a win-win.
Oakland Raiders
The Raiders aren't going to allow Kyle Boller to blow the game on Sunday, which means Darren McFadden is going to see a heavy workload. Don't think the Kansas City Chiefs don't understand that. They will pack the box and force Boller to throw the ball.
That could lead to disastrous consequences for Oakland. Kansas City is on a two-game winning streak and has seemingly righted the ship after a horrendous start. If Jackie Battle can find some holes in Oakland's front seven, an upset is a distinct possibility.
With Carson Palmer and a bye week waiting in the wings, this is an awkward game for Oakland. A loss could have lasting playoff consequences, only adding to the pressure on them on Sunday.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Arizona Cardinals have more talent than their 1-4 record would suggest and the coaching staff was probably preaching that point throughout the bye week. If Arizona is going to turn its season around, and that's still possible thanks to its division, it has to start against the Steelers.
Pittsburgh is 1-2 on the road this season and won't be nearly as fresh as the Cardinals. They also have three tough games following Sunday's clash, which makes this a trap game. Add it all up and there's reason to worry for the Steeler faithful.
Even though the Steelers might prevail, it won't be easy by any stretch of the imagination. They will need to bring their "A" game to University of Phoenix Stadium.
